Hello Friends,
This is going to be some what off topic, but then again, it's on topic of sorts.
I am so mad at this moment, when I think of how many charges Zach Adams had..how many times he pled guilty, probation violations and still able to walk the streets.
I am so mad at the State of Tennessee and are lack of holding people accountable for their actions.
With that being said, 8 years ago, I got a DUI, yep I was guilty and the next year after court was hell...lots of money, lots of time, just to do my sentence. I saw a probation officer once a month, saw many with violations..that would end up serving 30 days and stay in jail while they waited for their court date. I know I was wrong, I was guilty and did every single little thing I was suppose to do....I paid for my crime.
NOW!! I was looking up about another crime, that happened in Crossville, Tn, looking for court dates and such ( yes I posted what I found to the only thread here I could find on the Renegade Mountain Murders )....
What I found just made my blood boil...could this crime have been prevented, if violations were taken seriously?? Yes I know he was eventually "violated" reason they held Jacob Bennett before the murder charges...but MY GOD!! Just in Zach Adams, this in my opinion could have been prevented.
Tenn. ignores parole violations until 4 bodies are found
" — Parole officers didn't worry about Jacob Allen Bennett blowing off the terms of his release from prison until four bodies turned up on Renegade Mountain.
They didn't revoke the longtime felon's parole when he flunked a drug test in April, his second month out of prison. They let it slide when he didn't pay his court-ordered fees. And they didn't even look for him when he went absent in August, a month before he would be hauled in as a suspect in a quadruple homicide in this resort area about 50 miles west of Knoxville, Tenn."
