I have always felt this case was more than just a sexually related crime. Especially with many perps involved, I don't believe this was just a meth-fueled, spontaneous kidnap. This was planned, even if hours before, and carried out. Some piece is missing, that is for sure. I don't think the motive was purely sexual although that may have been an aspect of it.

While rape is definitely all about power and control I still think the victim is selected by their attractiveness when the perp takes the risk of kidnapping his victim. Especially if the predator isn't known to ever associate with the victim. I am not talking about a rapist that may creep into a house or goes into rob it and then rapes whatever female is inside the home.

One only has to do is look at the photos of the young women right on WS who have been kidnapped, raped, and murdered by someone they didn't associate it, and one thing each victim has in common is they all are extremely attractive.

When predators like this have all the control over the victim they can select any female they want. Some sexual predators are known to select a victim of their choice, and then stalk them out for days before kidnapping. Those type of sexual predators, who are willing to kidnap their victim, do seem to look for more attractive females, imo.

Jumping off your post here but just wanted to add my thoughts on this as well. I believe that these predators who select, stalk and kidnap young attractive women actually enjoy and get off on destroying that beauty. That is part of the "high" they get when they torture and maim these helpless woman.

Rare, but it happens. People are even lured to locations just for a thrill kill, as in the case of Timothy Bosma.

Exactly, Kimster. We should thank our lucky stars that cases like this are still rare but even though rare... they do happen. Just like its happened to Holly.

Being 'rare' really doesn't help the victim it has happened to either.... :heart:
