Holly Bobo, missing from TN 2014 discussion #4 ***ARRESTS***

I do agree that sometimes, but not often, the wrong person will be arrested for a crime. IMO, in a case that is high profile like this one, I don't think it happens often. LE is playing their cards carefully. The two arrested and charged with murdering Holly are the ones the community suspected for years. I also think that Shayne Austin could be an active participant and may also be charged with a serious crime. ZA and JA are not getting out of jail unless they are acquitted. I also think SA will be staying in jail if arrested. The Pearcy brothers are out on bail so I think they are not suspected of as serious crimes as the others arrested or receiving (maybe) an immunity agreement. I think LE has had these people as POIs since shortly after Holly was abducted. Obviously no hard evidence until after the arrest for the pearl theft. LE had been talking to Dylan because his mother said so on TV. I think someone who was also arrested for the pearl theft is the one who got the ball rolling by offering evidence. TBI said there would be arrests (plural) and that is just what has happened. I'm thinking there will be more. We will be able to tell the seriousness of the charges by whether the people are kept in jail or bailed out.

My opinions only, no facts here:

Snipping from your post above "The two arrested and charged with murdering Holly are the ones the community suspected for years."

Remember, that while doing my timeline for the Holly Bobo case, I looked at a great deal of local blog posts. I would combine your statement with my opinions and say "the two arrested and charged with murdering Holly are among the ones the community previously suspected."

If for some reason, the authorities ever hit a brick wall, I personally recommend that they go back to the well and reconsider earlier POI's.

MY OWN EVIDENCE RECAP

I've been critical of the nature of the assumptions surrounding a lot of the (so-called) "evidence" in this case. But as I review, one item definitely has been revealed that I see as the foundation from which to build a valid case against the charged primary suspects.

From a few months ago: "It was learned in court on Tuesday that Adams' brother told investigators he saw Bobo alive in Adams' home after she disappeared. Adams' brother plans on testifying against him during trial."

This is one of those tidbits of evidence that we know exists, we know exactly what it is and what it would mean, and it is damning for ZA. It undeniably puts an already-kidnapped Holly in the care of ZA.

IMO it was this testimony that opened the door to the key search warrant, and that got the ball rolling on providing pressure and leverage being used (whether rightly or wrongly, I'm not convinced) on SA and the Pearcy's.

I'm assuming-guessing the link to JA is that ZA was the sadistic lieutenant and JA the calculating general in their world, and that maybe ZA went overboard for some reason but that JA took control after it was already in motion, but I'm pulling my supporting evidence from thin air. I'm still not convinced that some others like SA and the Pearcy's have that much to do with the case beyond LE's attempts to build on that key testimony, as we haven't heard anything but whispers and sketchy claims against them so far.

But if your bolded bit is all the evidence they have, they don't really have anything. Whatever the brother says, it still has to be corroborated with actual evidence, otherwise it is just an unsubstantiated allegation.

What they are trying to do with all this other strong arm stuff, is desperately trying to find any corroboration, but if they can't do that, sooner or later they will have to withdraw charges. They have made their move, now they have to come up with something to make the case in a hurry or it is all over. They thought they had that with the deal, but that apparently went sour and nowhere. Now they are trying to get this recording, that someone else claims to have seen. I suspect they are going to get nowhere with that too.

All through this case from the arrest onwards, their evidence seems to be a network of allegations from dubious individuals who all apparently have motivation to lie, and the whole thing is getting more and more tenuous.

Unless they have something else, this is not looking good for their case.

I wonder who or what was airlifted (helicopter) from ZA's property during the search.

:newhere:

Hello everyone! I'm new here but have been sleuthing from the sidelines for a while. I just finished going through everything that has been discussed here regarding this case. I've been following HB's abduction from the very beginning and I was thrilled when I saw that there had been an arrest

I'm looking forward to discussing this case with everyone!!!
:greetings:

:seeya: Hello, CNYgirl !

That's not true.

The brother's testimony is evidence in and of itself. In most jurisdictions, it could be enough to convict of something depending on the content of what he saw. A jury would determine whether he is to believed, and how much weight to give his testimony, so evidence from other witnesses or of a physical/forensic nature would be helpful and provide additional weight, but what he saw and testifies to can be the evidentiary linchpin around which to build a case. In this context, at the very least it places a kidnapped Holly in the custody of ZA.

I agree that it wouldn't be enough to convict of a murder, because at a minimum you have to have something that proves proof of death, and "I saw her alive" isn't that. But it may be enough for the kidnapping, depending on the content.

They have to have something because why go arrest and charge JA a month after knowing they're immunity deal with SA didn't produce a body. Instead of slowing their roll they amped it up?

I HOPE they have more than just the brother's accusation. What if he is lying, just as revenge or something?

Another thing, ZA spent time in jail the last three years. A few months here and there, but enough time for his brother or anybody else to put something incriminating on the property. I have a feeling ZA was involved don't get me wrong, I'm just thinking like a defense attorney for a minute.

I don't keep up much with this case just because there is so much going on so ive decided to just wait for trial. So I'm sorry I didn't know this. But they airlifted evidence from ZA place? That seems like some pretty major evidence. I'd like to know what it was myself.
