Not to mention, it is the future for criminals who destroy bodies, hide them in the thickest forest, weight them down in water, whatever. They get caught due to forensic evidence, to bad. Death penalty convictions for over 400, I've read with no body. I'll check the new links. Thanks!

Is JA's lawyer being paid for by him and/or his supporters or by the state? If the lawyer is being privately paid then why is he whining to the court that he needs more hard drive storage space? He could just go out and buy more. The state is not required to pay for a defense if the accused is not determined to be indigent. If he is being privately funded, then somewhere down the line I expect JA to go before the judge requesting public funds to finish paying for his defense.

I wrote this post about 7:00 pm, thought I posted it but did not. It is what I found on my screen when I came back to my computer a few minutes ago. Please excuse it being far behind the conversation it was mean to join.

Last I knew, nobody knew for sure. JA said he had no money.

It's a Jose Baez moment where they act like it will financially drain them to buy more hardrives. Jose couldn't afford the $800 or $900 in copying disks the court required as payment for doing so. Next thing you know, Jose was hired as Casey's public defender. He did start the case as a "Pro Bono" attorney without enough experience to defend a murder case, some but not enough. Anywho, my op of JA's attorney isn't high with his own pending charges nor his removal from the bar potential and that's all Ima going to say. He wants publicity, well both Fletcher and JA both feel they need pubicity. I can see both needing it. Removal from the bar & death penalty.

Preach to the choir boys. I bet they finally had a heart to heart today. jmo

This case is so confusing because of the number of the criminals 3 or 4 ? It will drag on and I suspect the state will pay. If they find DNA of Holly in the ground where they were to;ld she was placed I would think that would be as good as a body.

Obvious, JA and attorney are looking for the state to pick the tab up, can't buy anymore hardrives. Judge gave a free for all in the state of TN about no gag order. I can honestly see where Holly's mom would say what she did about justice for Holly and don't follow the circus. My thoughts and support lies with them.

Call into News5 etc...on twitter were not worth posting. And another station. Memphis & Nashville stations. Looking to grab the top news...well I fell out of love at that moment...

I predict, Fletcher's going to be paid by state taxes. jmo. Both Fletcher & Jason will shut up until right before court & of course Fletcher's law firm will remove F when he's paid by the state. But you never know with Fletch's reputation. Oh please watch over the Bobo family during it all. If you have a little extra left over, watchover all...

That is a lot for sure, way more than I ever thought.
I only read a few cases. I guess it depends on the evidence. The few I read there was very strong physical evidence and a couple there was eyewitness testimony from people directly involved in the crime itself, and they turned state witness for a lesser charge to get the main culprit/ring leader.

It'll be interesting to see what the state of TN does here with this case.

Now I have to find that link again...oy vey.

I like the fact that the discovery is so voluminous that the defense here needs more external hard drives to load the information.

That doesn't mean that it is relevant to the case, discovery is literally everything that was done in the investigation, and after a few years that would be a huge amount of data, most of it irrelevant.

OMG I have a lot of catching up to do!! :scared:

Thanks for all the updates!

I got JA's rulings, dates, etc but I'm a little confused about SA. Is he to appear in court again? If so, when?

:seeya: Hi !

I have not found anything regarding SA's hearing date that will be held in the Circuit Court.

But will post if I see a date.

:seeya:

On Tuesday, another hearing was held in chancery court to discuss a dispute over an immunity agreement for Shayne Austin, another man said to be involved in the case.

Decatur County Chancery Court Judge Carma D. McGee decided Tuesday that only a criminal court can decide whether prosecutors can revoke an immunity agreement reached with Austin.

Are they bouncing from court to court? WTH?

I couldn't find anything else. When does he go to criminal court?

This is from the news channel 5 article:

A chancery court judge has ruled that she does not have jurisdiction to preside over a dispute about an immunity agreement in the case of a Tennessee nursing student who disappeared three years ago.

Decatur County Chancery Court Judge Carma D. McGee decided Tuesday that only a criminal court can decide whether prosecutors can revoke an immunity agreement reached with Shayne Austin.

From what I read, it will now go to circuit court.

I have not been able to find out IF a court date for the hearing on this immunity deal in the circuit court has been scheduled.

The state might have some strong physical evidence in this case. We don't know anything yet except for stories in the media that Zach's brother gave information about seeing Holly with Zach.
For all we know the prosecutor could have a ton of good solid physical evidence to back up Dylan Adam's accusations.
