I always get suspect when we hear of plea deals or attempted plea deals being made with LE. I get suspect of BOTH the defendent and LE. I get suspect because the person entering into the plea deal may be much more guilty than LE even knows at the time. I would hope to think LE would have that same level of caution, but I am honestly afraid that sometimes LE does not work hard enough to figure out the level of involvement of the defendents before entertaining such plea deals.

As this latest news pans out, my first thought is not even the brother. My first thought is going back to the botched plea deal with the other person who supposedly knew where Holly's remains were. My big question is how much involvement did this person have in this crime and is that the reason that LE has tried to void that agreement?
Did they finally realize they were trying to make deals with the devil, and it took them way too long to realize it?

And when we think of the alleged plea deal that was being made with the brother, only to find out now his level of involvement could be just as bad if not worse than ZA? Good Grief. Plea deal/Schmee Deal. How about doing a better job and convict the perps without any deals.

Im just glad things are finally starting to pan out, but I am still not convinced or impressed at all with how this investigation has been handled from Day-1. Its been a disaster IMO.

I too continue to have misgivings about how things have been handled with this case but this news today has me feeling more encouraged than I have for a while that justice will be done.

I think police expected to find Holly's remains on Adams Lane. I think their deal was about that alone.

But either the guy with the deal was lying, or the remains had been moved to the woods, or something had been disposed of, which is the evidence tampering charge against John Dylan.

In other words, the cops tried the deal with good intentions of finding Holly, but something went wrong. I don't think that's unusual in our legal system, and I don't think it throws the case out the window or anything like that.

They have all the perps either under indictment or in jail, and that's pretty good considering how some suspects in disappearance cases walk free for years. So there's going to be justice for Holly at least!

Maybe I missed it, but isn't Austin still out or is he behind bars now too?

He is one of the ones I am wondering about as to his level of involvement.

We're all curious about that and I'm sure it will come out in time.

I don't think he has been arrested, but that doesn't mean he isn't in trouble. The guy seems to have a good lawyer so this is dragging on.

Shayne Austin, another man connected to the case, was initially granted immunity in exchange for his cooperation in the investigation but apparently failed to comply. He has not, however, been arrested.

There has been no news on SA for a while now.

No one seems to know where he is . . . even over there they cannot seem to figure out where SA is, but lots of "speculation."

Oh, here it is - Shayne Austin's immunity charge was rolled forward into Circuit Court back in May, and I don't think a decision has been made yet:

From May 2014:

http://www.waff.com/story/25616241/holly-bobo-murder-case-returns-to-court

Austin's attorney, Luke Evans, filed a multi-count lawsuit against the State of Tennessee regarding the state's decision to revoke his immunity deal.

"My client had no involvement with the disappearance or anything related to Holly Bobo," said Austin's defense attorney, Luke Evans.

In the courtroom, prosecutors argued the attorney general has the right to void Austin's immunity agreement due to an ongoing criminal investigation. They say Austin voided the agreement because he wasn't completely truthful.

"The relief the plaintiff sees is to stop prosecution of a criminal case. The court, under laws that have been cited, doesn't have the ability to do that," continued prosecutor Scott Sutherland.

Austin's attorney argued the state can't pull his immunity agreement without citing the facts that Austin lied about or refused to cooperate with.

State prosecutors will not release that information since it's part of an active investigation.

"You should be able to rely on the word given to you by the State of Tennessee," said defense attorney Evans.

The chancery judge decided she did not have the jurisdiction to make a ruling. She sent the immunity dispute on to circuit court.

Attorneys say Shayne Austin could still be indicted in the Holly Bobo murder case. His date in circuit court is still pending.

From News Channel 5:

John Dylan Adams had already been arrested last month on a tampering with evidence charge in the case. At that time, officials from the TBI said they found evidence John Dylan Adams disposed of evidence on the day the 20-year-old nursing student disappeared. Investigators said John Adams knew the unidentified items could be evidence in the Bobo case.

He was served with a capias in the Robertson County jail, where he has been held since being transported from the Madison County jail. He is being held without bond and has a hearing set for October 22.

Adams admitted to TBI agents Sept. 17 that he was involved in the forcible rape of Holly Bobo on April 13, 2011, at the address of 235 Adams Lane in Holliday, according to the release.

Brother set against brother. Dylan is obviously cooperating to some degree to have given the TBI the info he has. Will be interesting to see where family aligns between these two brothers. Poor Poor Dylan or Poor Poor Zach?

Does anyone remember off hand the date of the latest Adams Lane search? I went through the later thread but can't seem to find it.

Thanks everyone for all the updates.

Ever since LE tried to break the plea deal, I really have to wonder about his possible level of involvement. The information he supposedly knew about was where Holly's remains were hidden.
That is pretty important information and I can only think of 2 ways how he would know.
Either he was there at some point OR by word of mouth.

I dont think he would be so confident if it was just word of mouth. So it really makes me wonder.
And then combine that with how LE seemed very eager to want to void their own agreement.

The last search was on September 18, and I think they went back again on the 19th-20th.

TBI: Brother of Zach Adams arrested in connection to Holly Bobo case

The TBI is back at the Adams' family home and has a vehicle parked in the driveway along with several other unmarked cars. There is no word on what they're searching for.

From today's Jackson Sun:

Through information developed over the course of the investigation, TBI agents learned last month that 26-year old John Dylan Adams of Holladay disposed of items he knew to be of evidentiary value to the case, the agency said. Adams was arrested and charged with tampering with evidence. Additionally, on September 17, 2014, Adams admitted to TBI agents that he was involved in the forcible rape of Holly Bobo on April 13, 2011, at the address of 235 Adams Lane in Holliday, TN, in Decatur County.

So TBI wasted no time -- they were back at the Adams property the day after Dylan admitted to rape.

A question here.
Holly was abducted, raped, and died/was murdered while being held against her will by those charged with murder (ZA, JA). If other people, like Dylan for instance, were present and/or participating while these vile acts were being committed, wouldn't they also face the murder charges? In the state of GA, for example, if 4 break into a house and just 1 of them shoots and kills the owner of the house, all 4 are charged with murder.
