Im interested in the route that the cell phone supposedly diagramed via GPS. That map is shown in the video briefly and either from weird angles, close up and then finally at a brief distance but far enough away that you can't really make out the exact route. I've tried to capture a still but not possible to get anything legible or a complete, detailed map.

I think I was able to plot the route on google maps up to the point it nears Highway 40. Past that, I've had a hard time determining the roads.

I am having a hard time figuring out the importance of the exact local route years after the fact. Is it because people believe Holly might be located along that route? And hasn't this info likely been available to LE for a very long time?

I believe she was taken further away, probably via the interstate, but JMO.

Me too. I posted my maps but no one comments on them. :( Although LE may have searched, there are so many spots they could have missed in all these miles. Not sure they know the exact route. If two roads are really close together can they really pinpoint which one from pings? I think she is along the route somewhere.

Really? I wouldn't think he would stop so close-by locally at that time of day, if he could have just gone an exit or two on I-40 and taken his time, as it were. But you never know.

Then where did he put her? Did he hand off her phone to someone else that circled back around?? Her cell phone pings didn't go up an exit or two.

But her phone was tossed out, not far from the entrance to I -40, I believe?

I thought her phone and the sim card were found back near Parsons on Easter.
Someone had a map on here somewhere.

This is the strip of road where the phone and sim card were found. And I would like to make a correction, this area is south of I-40 and just north of the town of Parsons. Note this area of hwy 69 is merged with hwy 641, which continue together north to Marion, Ky. This is an industrial area with factories on the west side of the hwy and a rock quarry on the east side.

Right but my belief is it was tossed that first day. Were there any pings after the 13th, do we know? I thought it all ended that day, but it took ten days to find the phone.

From the video they said the pings led back to Parsons on the 13th for an hour or more then I guess the pings stopped. So yes, it could have been tossed there on the 13th but not right by I-40. It was just east of Holly's off 69. That is close to the main part of town.

Okay, I thought it was fairly close to an entrance to some highway, but even so, I think that is when he noticed she had the phone. And that he took off after ditching it, Holly still with him at that point.

I have a feeling this was committed by someone very close to her. Not immediate family, of course, but someone who knew her well. There aren't many random predators who are going to stalk someone to the level they would have had to do here, and kidnap someone at the butt crack of dawn in full camo garb. They would have had to know the area, and the fact that cell records show them going away and then coming back around leads me to believe they are local. Probably even live nearby.

Sorry Plumeria. If you don't mind posting again, I must have missed it.

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -
At any given moment, at least 400 children in Tennessee are considered missing, and dozens of those cases date back years.

Police facing questions in 3 women's Ohio rescue

Associated Press
CLEVELAND (AP) - One neighbor says a naked woman was seen crawling on her hands and knees in the backyard of the house a few years ago. Another heard pounding on the home's doors and noticed plastic bags over the windows.

Both times, police showed up but never went inside, neighbors say. Police also paid a visit to the house in 2004, but no one answered the door.

Now, the dramatic story in Ohio where three women have been found alive after a decade missing has injected new hope for families of those who remain missing and the investigators working to bring them all home.

What happened in Cleveland would be like finding Tabitha Tuders or Holly Bobo alive, proving that it may just be possible.

"That's why we never give up," said Margie Quin, assistant special agent in charge of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. "If you can't get excited about a missing kid - if that doesn't inspire you to work hard - then I don't know what does."

Sorry, still not buying. Can't imagine Holly using the expression "No, why?" - as Clint said he heard - to a stranger under any circumstances in an apparently extended conversation close to the house.

I respectfully disagree. I think it is possible that an initial response to a stranger confrontation who is urging, 'come with me' could be, 'no, why?' - the reply could be a result of surprise and initial confusion. And actually, we don't know what this guy said to her as he approached her. He could have initially asked her a question to try to coax her away voluntarily. I just think there are several possible scenarios. And it's also possible that the brother thinks he heard, "no, why" but she may have said something else. Nothing seems certain with this case other than the limited physical evidence and the fact that her brother saw the abductor lead Holly away from the house through the woods. I'm inclined to think it was a planned abduction by a serial predator. If the newly released gps map truly indicates that he circled back toward the crime scene then he's brazen and shows he's someone who has probably done this before. JMO

I concur.

Yes, I'm beginning to think this is the case as well. There does seem to be contradictory information.

The map that is posted on the wmctv website indicates that the cell phone and sim card were found just east of the Bobo residence and south of the town of Parsons on Hwy 69. But meanwhile, the report on the wmctv video (the same website page where the map is posted) and other news sources claim the phone and the sim card were found northeast of the Bobo residence, north of the town of Parsons and just south of I-40 on Hwy 69/641 across from the quarry. This is definitely contradictory, which is so unhelpful. How could there be such blatant differences?

This quote from NBC news: "One final troubling piece of evidence to digest is 11 days after Bobo's disappearance, her cell phone was found sitting right on busy Highway 641 north of Parsons, with the SIM card found just across the highway." Dated 5/1/2013

Zaza, I think they both are describing the same place just in a different way. Pretty sure the quarry they are referring to is Vulcan Materials just south of Apac Drive off 69, 3 miles north of Parsons. Google says 5.5 miles from Holly's to the quarry but one of the reports above said something like 8 miles. Wish they all could synchronize their facts.
