And tonight we learn, re: the cell phone....
It appeared to have been carefully placed there and was still in full working order, despite days of heavy rain following the date Holly Bobo went missing.

"Names were there and numbers were deleted," said Without Warning team member Liz Beatty.
Not sure I quite understand Beatty's remark.

Also that Clint found a torn pink T-shirt and that TBI is not talking to Karen.

I just assumed the phone and card was found on the same day, just separated. Never dawn on me they were found 9 days apart. On opposite side of the road, as if going in one direction he leaves the cell and going in the other direction he leaves the card........I assumed they were found in adjacent to each other.

As far as the pink tshirt.....I am going to leave that alone.

Imo, Holly Bobo was abducted by an experienced sexual predator/hybrid serial killer who had carefully preplanned the crime..

Would agree with your reasoning, but allowing the phone to go along for the ride doesn't lead me to believe that this cat is intelligent or experienced. I think the route is telling - in the sense that he circled back around. He had somewhere to be for an alibi, IMO, and not too awful far from the scene of the crime (re: same city/county). A budding predator? Perhaps. Was he one at the time? Not likely.

We also are giving him too much credit. The fact is that if the crime scene would not have been corrupted by hundreds of folks stomping on potential evidence, there would likely have been some solid forensics obtained. Also - had Clint got his shotgun like he was told to do, this guy would be under a gravemarker right now. Not very calculating if you ask me.

Finally - if he is or has become a serial predator, he has clearly moved on. and committed other crimes There would be enough victims by now for a forensic pattern to show. I'm not talking a pattern like that one dudes illogical 'young blonde' theory either - I'm talking about solid evidence of a repeat offender.

Clint put up pink ribbons on mailboxes for the 2 year anniversary, stopped for the night, then the next morning went to finish and at the next mailbox was a shredded pink T-shirt.
Oh, I so wish there could have been a surveillance camera there to see who did that!

We know from the Jodi Arias' case, sim cards are pretty forgiving as far as water goes but the camera seemed to be in great shape even after heavy rains. Sounds like the investigators are inferring that the phone was planted and then later the sim card was 9 days later. I wonder how far in advance the location of searches were announced so to narrow the timeline of when it was planted? Whoever it was, was privy to where the search was going to take place in order to plant it there. Why only erase only the phone numbers, not the names? Any phone experts out there?

Wfgodot, what is it that you don't understand? Is it about deleting the numbers? I tried adding a contact with only a name and it wouldn't let me save it without a number or an email address. Maybe smart phones are different?

This group of investigators seems driven to solve this case. Finally!!

Remember experienced psychopathic predators will consistently do the unexpected. They all seem to have another self behind their mask of normalcy. This other self's thought pattern and actions are 180 degrees from that of a normal person's.

Tonto, in every case involving an experienced sexual predator/serial killer, there will always be this comment; 'I think we are giving him too much credit'..

If the full camouflage perp was turkey hunting, Clint would have noticed a shotgun during the altercation..The hunting attire was only a ruse; a means to an end..

Three reasons for full camo, imo..(Full camo includes cape, coveralls, & gloves. Coveralls can be removed very quickly to change clothing and the clothing description, analogous to a chameleon. )

Forensics/DNA contamination prevention(analogous to an encapsulated suit used by CSI)
Camo is normal attire worn during turkey season in many rural areas/blend.

The perp that abducted Holly was not only brazen and experienced, but very lucky, imo...

RE: Finally - if he is or has become a serial predator, he has clearly moved on. and committed other crimes

Imo, he did move on, and has taken other unsuspecting innocent victim/s...

Imo, the cell phone & sim card were located on the same day; 04/24/2011.
The cell phone was located first and the sim card later. When was the last time you witnessed volunteer searchers on their hands and knees looking for a needle in a haystack/sim card?

Holly Bobo Search 4/24/11
Searchers crawl on hands and knees searching an area on U.S. 641/Tenn. 69 in Parsons, on Sunday, April 24, for clues in the kidnapping of Holly Bobo.

In this latest video they said the phone was found 11 days after Holly disappeared and the sim card 9 days later. Perhaps they got a tip it was there?

I really find the stretching out of updates and info on crime stories with tempting reminders, over days and weeks by the media, as if it was a serialized novel, despicable. Especially taking advantage of Mother's Day.

? ?

If they examined the phone on Easter, they would have discovered the sim card was missing and been on hands and knees trying to find it.

tv stations are currently in their "sweeps" period where their ratings (number of viewers) are monitored so they know how much they can charge for advertisements. during sweeps periods stations do their best to drum up viewership so that their numbers look good for advertising. the up side of this is these periods of time tend to be when the best investigative reporting is done, but the down side is this is also when the most sensationalistic crap is aired.

I'm not a fan of having it all broken over segments and in a sense commercializing the story. Having said that, it has gotten people discussing the case and hopefully re-invigorated the investigation. If nothing else, a new set of eyes looking at the evidence can also be helpful.

I find it curious too that TBI's only response that I have seen so far is to release a statement covering their backside that they have spoken to the Bobo's as opposed to commenting or updating the public on the investigation in any way.

that TBI is not talking to Karen

from your post wfgodot. So does that mean TBI didnt give her the info on the physical evidence the PI's are claiming was recovered, I wonder?

I think it is a safe bet that the PI's do not have access to LE files then. Then they are only as good as the info they have and if they dont have it all and searchers have signed confidentiality agreements.... grrr.

I hope that the source of the PI's information is finally put to rest clearly on Sunday. To me this is shapin up to be a whole lot of nuthin, although I am thrilled that interest has been revived!!

They may still be one clue away. It doesnt appear to me that the PI's have brought anything new? I hope my impression changes on Sunday fwiw.

These situations always make me sad. There is a huge media stir, and then when folks start chipping away at it, there is a whole lot of (perhaps) nothing new or nothing confirmed. I guess, imvho, what happens is that it breeds apathy on the part of the general public. Kind of like a boy who cried wolf thing.

There have to be better ways to excite interest, but now I am afraid that TBI is going to completely and totally resist confiding in the public. *If* this turns out to be a sensational rehash of information that isnt confirmed and is in fact inaccurate (like when Holly sang at which coon hunt-type stuff) I am afraid that TBI will be justified in keeping their lips closed.

They have the cards and we dont-if you are going to create an adversarial situation to try and force their hand, you have to have a pretty big stick. I am not seeing one, and it will make me heartsick if Holly's family is shut out because of all of this.

Did I miss how Ms Wysocki became involved in this case? Who reached out to who? I will go look...

K,the media I found indicates that Holly's mom reached out to Ms. Wysocki.
