SABINE COUNTY, Texas - New details have been revealed in the murder and tampering with evidence charge against Houston attorney Michael C. Howard in the death of his own son.
Sabine County Sheriffs along with District Attorney Paul A. Robbins held a press conference on Thursday to go into more details about the incident.

According to JP MacDonough, an investigator with the Sabine County Sheriffs Department, the Sabine County Sheriff's Office received a call around 2 p.m. on Dec. 2 from Michael Howard, who told deputies he accidentally shot his youngest son, Mark Howard, who he mistook for an intruder

Mark was a high functioning Downs Syndrome Adult.

Um, what?! He just "cremated" him after accidentally shooting him, per his report, because that's what his son would have wanted? Crazy. I wonder if someone else found out and forced his hand so he had to call it in.

awe man, I didn't realize the 20 year old son had downs :( I don't know why exactly but that makes this case worse to me. And this father is an attorney? Of all the stupid plans to try to coverup killing his son, this mess is what he came up with? and then self reported anyway? what in the more to this story is going on here? I am glad his bond is so high (20 Million) as it sounds as if he has the means to pay a substantial bond.
