Houston woman dragged down escalator during Saks Fifth Ave. robbery
"The strong-armed robbery happened around 2 p.m. Oct. 17 inside the posh store. The victim had just withdrew an undisclosed amount of cash from a nearby bank before she made the trek to the mall that day.
Surveillance video shows the woman checking her phone while riding an escalator inside the store. That’s when a man is seen creeping-up behind her and violently yank her purse, pulling her down the escalator in the process."
"The man then dragged her from the bottom of the escalator to a nearby set of doors, which is when the woman let go of her purse, police said. He then hopped in a waiting burgundy four-door Buick car and drove away, police said.
The suspect is described as a black male, about 20 to 30 years old, between 5 feet, 11 inches and 6 feet tall. He has a thin build and was wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans during the heist, police said.
Anyone with information on the suspect is urged to call Houston Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477)."
