How Are You Going To Watch Trial ? Live Feed & Smart Phone Info

I will be out of the country on a cruise May 14th to 24th. It is going to make me crazy not being able to follow the trial!! There will be at least a million posts to read when I get back!

Does anyone know if any radio stations will be broadcasting the trial, or how I can find that out? Maybe that way it would be available thru IHEARTRADIO and we could at least listen.

I have no idea, but I wonder if that radio station that employs that cute Drew Petrimuelx (sp) is going to broadcast it. I think it's WDBO or WBDO?--something like that. You could check them.

I went 12 hours without WS once and I had 8 pages of new posts! I can't imagine how many posts you'll have to read when you're gone for 10 days.

I'm taking my last final exam on the morning of May 16th - graduating from nursing school - Woohoo!

Snipped by me to say CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU, what wonderful news that is. Another nurse in the world, just in time for Caylee's justice. Congrats!!

I can't believe I'm doing this, but I am. I just called the cable company to add a second DVR to my service. He's setting it up this week and it'll cost me another $9.99 a month. But I figured my DVR on the TV in the livingroom just won't be enough, it holds a great deal but I don't trust it'll hold enough until the time I can sit down and power-watch each night or every few days or Sundays. So I am paying 10 fish a month for a backup, and plan to switch back to the regular cable box when this is over. Well, an additional $30 is worth it over the price of a ticket to Orlando, which is really what I want to do.

I am getting here late, as usual. For iPads users, I found another solution to ones already posted.

Weeks ago I installed an app called Splashtop remote. It works only on wifi connections. Basically what it does is it controls your laptop/desktop from your iPad. In other words, what you see on your iPad is what is on the screen of the computer you are remote from. You have to have the desktop/laptop splashtop app working before you open it on the iPad.

It does work and it takes a few times to get use to it. Although I did find it is a battery eater for the iPad. The app costs 1.99 for your iPad and 1.99 for the app for your computer. It is extremely easy to install and set the settings for your specific router. My computer network is also behind firewalls and security is tight. Now, I am only on Macs here at my home so I cannot give any advise on how it works on microcarp based computers. But in reading their website, it has very specific instructions on setting the programs up.

Does anyone know if I can watch on my droid incredible? It's new and I'm still figuring things out. I could use any help I can get.

TIA!

Wow, a choice between a cruise and this trial??? That's a tuffie! Good thing you'll only miss part of it.

Yes, TotallyObsessed, it's the Flash that is the problem - and maybe the 3G vs wireless. Oh, buy one! I love mine, other than this issue! I stay up to date on Websleuths while waiting in line where ever I am. I even read it while on the treadmill at the gym:great:
I just got my I-Pad 2 and I love it. Took it for a walk and read WS at a cafe just like other folk do with their laptops. Lightweight and wonderful. I downloaded SkyFire so I would have Flash and it doesn't work. What a waste of $5. (unless I need to fiddle with it again).

Amil, I got Skyfire for my iPhone and didn't think it worked either. My SIL did get it to work for me.

ETA: Here are the directions for using it: [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6375533&postcount=113"]Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - How Are You Going To Watch Trial While At Work?[/ame]

I think a more appropriate title for this thread would be "How Are You Going To Get Any Work Done While Watching The Trial?"

I so need an iPad!

ETA: Just checked availability on Apple's site. If ordering online, you can expect delivery in one to two weeks! :gasp:

I am really hoping (and praying) WFTV will post links each day to the trial on their website so that I can watch there when I get off. That's how I kept up with hearings. I REFUSE to watch In Sessions (unless forced).

We had a TV installed, hanging on the wall ready to go. This trial has been a long time coming. A roller coaster of emotions over the years and I fully intend to see it to it's conclusion. Funny how this case has changed my life and how I have made life changes because of it. In case I haven't said it lately, my WS buddies....

Check your phone book to see if there is an Apple store anywhere in your area. You can buy them direct and get them immediately. Also, check with AT&T wireless stores or Verizon wireless stores. You also could check Best Buy... but I'm not sure about them. Good luck!

Will try that, Omahka. Seems they are short in supply in recent times. But the ability to stream video on it makes it all that much more desirable to me.

Last summer we went to the shore and the house had no internet. I used Day Pass Wireless to "rent" a verizon hot spot for the week. So for anyone going away for a vacation (land) that needs internet, I can vouch for the the Verizon MiFI through them. I actually rented it for longer than I needed it since it was cheaper (the way they set up the pricing)

Just google day pass wireless.

I watch my granddaughter during the day now. I also got a swingset for her to play on. I also checked to make sure my wifi reaches the patio (it does). I also bought an extra long extention cord to plug in my laptop outside Mwuahahahahahaha!

If you have a smart phone...Download an app. from the market place called"TuneIn Radio" it's FREE, Then look in United States...Then Florida. Then click on
radio station "WBDO" I tried it today.. works perfectly! ( WBDO is the only radio station I know that is carrying the trial LIVE!) Hope this helps people who work who have no internet access, but can listen to radio.

YAY! Thank you MsTeal....this is awesome! I just downloaded and installed it.
