How Are You Going To Watch Trial ? Live Feed & Smart Phone Info

I'll be in my family room with at least two live streaming connections open in case one quits. The TV will be DVR'ing InSession which I will keep muted except for long bench conferences and breaks.

I like the fact that IS is a good 5 seconds ahead of the feed so I can glance over from time to time to see if questioning by someone is almost over!

Don't want to miss a nano-second of this trial.

In my jammies reading the blow by blow right here on WS... west coast hours are pretty grueling-- but three hours in, I will watch the delayed IS coverage. I wish I could follow along on my computer at CNN, but alas, it's limping along and I don't want to risk a total failure and miss everything!!

To tell the truth, the trial threads here are invigorating-- the court coverage, eh, not so much. :D

Hi everyone

I work from home in my upstairs office.
Because of my line of work, I take alot of overseas calls, but in between the phone calls, ( since dh fixed my pc speakers) following along with a live streaming feed, tho not sure which feed yet, then ill have the tv on in sessions( dont like is) but what they hey? I can mute it..

I may not get the chance to do very much posting, but you can be sure ill be here

I have a 52" TV in my living room as well as my desk and computer. I finally got smart and put a big, soft, wingback chair at my desk so I can be more comfortable. My daughter has my laptop.

I have big, roomy lounging pajamas and will wear those while watching. I have those in almost every color, LOL!

I will move my vehicle around to the back so that people will think I am not home. (bad, bad me!) I will put my voicemail on and will simply say that I cannot come to the phone right now (true), and to please call back or leave a message. I will immediately check to see if the call is important.

I always keep some frozen casseroles in the freezer and will make more before Tuesday.

I will have the house all to myself and plan not to miss a minute of coverage! I will not miss a minute on WS either!

I am interested in what all of you are going to be doing because I am nosey/curious!!!

( used too many 'I's' in this post!)

Last Friday, I guess that the feeds for wftv and fox on the net were overwhelmed right at the end of the day before jury swearing, as BOTH of mine froze and I couldn't view either of my tabs. Wasn't due to my computer I believe as I do two open all the time (as wftv has commercials, but better sound than most)

Which link do you find best, and please explain why. I believe that during opening statements, there may be a server load problem again for some sites, therefore alternates recommended by others would be nice! (oh, and if you have had problems or there are negatives with some sites, please list that if you think relevant......e.g. "WFTV.COM has great sound, but has *(&%)*&%^ commercials that pop up for 60 seconds at the most inopportune times!")

I'll do one big compilation in a post on Monday night on the thread.

If I have my druthers . . . I will be in the basement parked in front of my 52" screen tv with my laptop on my lap, in my comfy recliner. My laptop will be split screen between WS and myfoxorlando or cnn live feeds, with a headset @ the ready to plug in whenever I need to mute or want to listen to TruTV. TV will be set on the HD cable feed for live coverage (local coverage is 3 hours later here in Pacific Time Zone).

My husband has decided to take 11 days off work and plan to "crack the whip" around here to work in the house and yard. (Aaaaaccccckkkkkkkk!) I really need to know if there are any satelite radio channels that follow the trial so I can hook that up to the hot tub speakers and blast the neighborhood. That way I can weed my gardens and still hear the trial if the sun is out.

Otherwise, I will be carting my tiny little lapbook computer around the yard wifi streaming the trial via online. Alas, my laptop computer battery decided to give up the ghost this week, so I cannot unplug and move around. uGH!

CNN Live, with the exception that when a sidebar is called they don't show live feed and WFTV.com. WFTV shows the live feed during sidebars, the drawback is they will run commercials. I switch between the two.

This old Bird will be perched on her bed with the laptop. My granddaughter takes care of her family so I get to do what I want! I eat, sleep, walk around when I want to.It feels good in a way. I am so anxious fpr this to get going!!
I'm going to make a pot of stew today, that'll last a couple of days. :great:.
I hope everyone remains well so we can all "enjoy" the trial.Everyone here has worked so hard!

I was thinking I would be watching it on TV (In Sessions) but during the jury selection I noticed what they air in the afternoon is actually a replay of the morning. :( I guess that means I will have to find a stream that works for me.

I am a stay home mom and my daughter is 5, she is pretty good about keeping the noise down and doesn't need me every minute. So that is on my side. But it is summer, and I will be taking her swimming and doing other stuff, so on those days I'm going to have to get the highlights from WS.

Well.

We have 3 computers - 1 is a laptop. I generally have 2 feeds going and IS on muted.

My son will be out of school in a couple of weeks and I feel somewhat bad for him - he generally will use the other 2 computers and the tv - runs 2 games on the puters and has his playstation going on the tv.

Poor kid is gonna be limited to one computer if he's lucky, lol. The bright side is he's taken a bit of an interest in the court proceedings so it may not be much of a fight.

For the next week and a half i'll be watching in my living room, and keeping up with WS on my smart phone. To be honest, i'll be glued to the opening statements on tv, but after that the threads here are much more interesting than actually watching for me.

ITA with everything SurfieTX said about wesh. I used to prefer WFTV, even when it had to be refreshed every few minutes, because they seemed to have the least problems. Now, however, they constantly get hung up for me, so I switched to WESH. The twitters are so awesome!

I use http://cnn.com/live - generally there are no problems but there has been one or 2 glitches, so then I switch to http://mfile.akamai.com/12909/live/reflector:20877.asx which I like as well. Only problem I have with the reflector link is when I try to do a screen cap and paste it into Paint shop pro - I get the feed, lol. Haven't figured out a workaround to that one yet. Audio and video are pretty clear.

I created a tweeps list to follow: http://twitter.com/#!/list/techconfusion/caseyanthonytrial

The first trial coverage that I watched was that of OJ Simpson in the summer of 1995. I was recuperating from "female" surgery and had no choice other than to lounge on the sofa and watch Court TV. Geez, we didn't even have a computer back then!

I will probably watch CNN/HLN and follow the boards here because I find it difficult to watch livestream simultaneously on one computer. Sometimes I listen to live feed while reading WS. I probably won't watch all day every day but will tune in for key testimony as well as evening programs that feature highlights of the trial.

Anything but IS. My MBPs are ready, my iPad is loaded as is my iPhone loaded and ready. Luckily, I am in an area where I can get wifi everywhere I go, should I choose to leave my home. Only issue I have is if the baseball team goes forward in the playoffs, then I am stuck listening to HLN in my truck on Siruis radio on the road. There is no way I can listen and take photos of the games!

Took Tuesday off for a Turtle field trip, any suggestions of a channel to DVR?

TIA!!!

TruTV has InSessions, but it starts at 8:00 central time and ends at 2:00 central. Perhaps they will make some adjustments to their scheduling once the actual trial gets going. Other than that, I don't know of a TV station that is showing it.

ETA: IS also has commercials.
