Good question. There are a number of possible places to look.

Here on websleuths Cold cases are actually found in three main topic areas;
- For missing person cases (which could also be murder cases) this topic has cases for various decades.
- The Unidentified section lists people whose bodies have been found, but have not been identified. Some of those are murder cases, but not all.
- Cold Cases has various types of old cases, most of them unsolved murders. They are all listed together, but if you choose to search or sort on the cases, you can go to the search place in the top right corner of the screen and select a specific year. Then select "search titles only" and "this thread only". Most case threads (if written properly) will have the year in the title.

You can search the internet for various cases if you have some specific information to begin with. Unfortunately for the 1960's and 1970's a lot of cases which were reported on in newspapers might not be available on line. Sometimes you have to simply search newspaper microfilms or old copies of papers, magazines, books, etc to come up with a case - then do some internet searching to see if there is more on it.

If you don't find it here on websleuths, feel free to start a thread and perhaps others will respond with more info. Best of luck in your research.
