How do you feel about the memorial service planned for Caylee?

1. He dissappeared under imminent danger
2. A family member filed a request that the courts do so.

I cannot find a single case where a death certificate has just been issued by the court without a family request to do so. Nina Reiser, family requested it after the criminal trial and before the wrongful death case. All of the other adults I can find it was requested by the next of kin for either insurance, termination of marital status etc... In cases of a child the request was filed by the other parent and frequently before a wrongful death suit, or for insurance reasons etc...

Logan Tucker for instance, I cannot find a death certificate for. Killed by his mother, no body found. And apparantly no financial reason for the family to need the cert. Maybe someone else will have better luck than I did finding a case where the state issued one without request.

In Caylee's case George, Cindy and Lee are not going to request that she be declared dead. And despite all the coverage no man who was sleeping with Casey in that time window has stepped up and said anything, so I don't think dad is going to magically appear.

Why the rush, no one has been in a real big rush...KC waited 31 days to even report Caylee missing so I don't think anyone has been in an all fired up rush.

I'm going to weigh in on this: it is my opinion that although the family has a right to grieve for Caylee's demise in whatever manner they deem proper, they cannot now complain about the public wanting to grieve in the manner that it deems proper, as both GA and CA (and LE, to a lesser degree) have contributed to the publicity surrounding this case. Moreover, GA and CA have had ample time (almost 4 months since Casey was arrested, right?) to conduct a public memorial service, but they refuse to acknowledge or even speak in public about her being deceased.

GA and CA cannot control what the public now believes re: Caylee's demise and, therefore, they should have thought of this aspect of the situation BEFORE they went on national television each and every day. As a very wise professor of mine once said:

I don't know about here (Fla) but in my home state when there is evidence of the death, after the trial they are declared dead by the court.

It is a public park, and he can do anything he wants. They legally have NO say because they are NOT Caylee's guardians or parent. What everyone forgets here is they have NO POWER in anything about Caylee. That is why they could not stop TES like they tried.

Here in MO 3 women disappeared and they havent been seen since. No evidence of murder (dna etc) but it is assumed they are dead. 2 of the 3 have been declared dead by family. The other one's family said they will never have her declared dead until they find her body. It happened in 1993. BUT, the family did allow their daughter to be included in the memorial bench that was dedicated to their memory.

That's not what the jury will be deciding. The jury will be deciding WHO murdered this child...not if the child was killed OR not.

With all respect, no that is not true. Without remains, the state has to begin by showing evidence gathered to prove their belief that Caylee is deceased, and will then attempt to prove why, when, how, and by whom it was done.

As a capital case, all points would have to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt, including that someone has been killed, and that the someone is Caylee.

Every human bieng deserves to have a memorial. It is painfully obvious that the A's aren't going to give this baby one, so why not someone else? Is it because it is LP? Would you feelings be different if it were you or I planning it? What harm could a memorial do? They should be proud that so many people love this little girl. If we're wrong and Caylee is alive there is no harm in the searches. If they're wrong and Caylee is deceased, they have to live with the fact that they left that baby out in the woods for the rest of their lives.
