How do you feel about the memorial service planned for Caylee?

His 15 minutes was up a long time ago.... he needs to go back to whatever he was doing before this case.... Oh thats right who ever heard of him before????? How dare he, so his dive was a flop and now this mess...what next? Sad old man needs to back away and go take care of his own family and leave the Anthony's alone. JMO

The Anthonys 15 minutes has been up for a LONG time also. The good thing about their behaviors in my opinion is they are cranking up the needle for KC through all their "inserting" themselves into each and everyone's efforts to help with bad behaviors.

How many people have put their own time and money into trying to find this little girl. They deserve a right to mourn over a child about whom NOTHING has been heard in almost 5 months. What are the odds that she is still alive?

...especially the searchers...they need to be able to come together to pray and find comfort. So if LP wants to give them this opportunity...good for him. (and I'm not a big LP fan but believe these folks especially need support)

I guessing that if Casey is found guilty of murder, the court will issue a death certificate. I wouldn't think that a person could be guilty of murder if the victim was not officially deceased.

Actually she does not have to be found guilty for the court to issue a death certificate. They only have to show the evidence they have now of the DNA and the death bands.

I think if Cindy doesn't get some serious help, she won't survive if they DO find Caylee. That woman is definitely imploding.

ITA!! I imagine what would happen if I did by chance find Caylee up here in Toronto. I'd call a lawyer (to protect the child!) before calling any LE, and take their advice. Having seen and read many examples of Cindys 'mothering', and with Casey being in jail for fraud and child abuse and all, it would break my heart to return her. It would break my heart to thing of keeping her from George though because I believe he's a good and decent man.

Yes, juvenile court can also appoint one. I really feel this needs to be done since the Anthonys are so convinced she is alive.

I heard of him and we live on opposite sides of the country. I had problems with LP injecting himself in the case in the first place. But, now I'm thinking of those who need a way to express themselves...whether it be in prayer, remembrance- however they see fit. If he wants to arrange that, good for him.

LOL...I should have worded that better. I 'think' a murder conviction would be legal proof that Caylee is deceased - and therefore a death certificate will be issued by the court.

respectfully...... I don't think they were looking for their 15 minutes at the price of their grandaughter. But all these others were not asked to be involved, they put themselves in this case... for what reason? and who cares about KC ?? What her parents do should have no effect on justice being served, it would be a sad thing if that statement were true.

I have been trying to find the answer to that, it appears to be called legal death, and it has to be petitioned, reasonable amount of time has to have passed and if imminent danger preceeded the dissappearance that can be taken into account (private pilot never returns from a flight, 9-11 victims, etc....). But those have all been filed by someone who is a spouse etc for life insurance or ending of a marriage status. If her family doesn't file or fights said filing I don't know that she will ever be declared dead legally. Let me go dig through some of the other cases where a child's body was not found, the parent was convicted and see if it still took a family member to get a death certificate or if one was never issued.

If there is no life insurance and no burial plot I don't know why would have to be issued?

In order for some to believe Caylee deserves a memorial?

Maybe I can explain it better by using this as an example. On my side of the State, we have a missing firefighter that disappeared 2 years ago this past August. The truck was found at the bottom of the pond and there was blood in the cab of the truck. She just vanished. They have since found some of her items in canals, not a good sign.

She has 2 young children. On the 2 yr. anniversary this past August, rather than have a memorial service for her, they had a tribute so the kids could listen to good things about their mother and not focus on having to say good-bye. I realize that's a little different than this situation but nevertheless, this is what the family chose to have to pay homage to their loved one 2 years after the fact. Sometimes, families need more time to accept and go through the grieving process before they are ready for this. We don't have the right to assume they would never do this for Caylee. I understand how everyone feels but I just feel strongly that this is a family right that supercedes our right to proceed with this.

On the other hand, this is NOT being done for the family but for other people who need closure.

Rest your heart. Jesus didn't take her little life. He just knew that it would be on this day that He would welcome her home. She is now safe, loved beyond measure and protected from any further harm.

We are all given the freedom to choose. It was KC that made a decision to poison Caylee (I believe it happened more than just once) and to end the life of the precious gift that she had been so graciously given. The precious gift that she was to love and protect.

Psalm 128:3 - Children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.

The odds are real good on that because of past behaviors. You can never tell what people will do, but even if they did sometime in the distant future, it would not include a lot of searchers who have given up their family life, their vacations and their money to search for a child the Anthonys would not even bother to search for so far.

Sur, there are people who have spent a LOT of time and energy to try to find this child, who care deeply for her because no one else seems to care who might find a lot of comfort in a memorial service.

I find it nothing but a publicity stunt on CA's part to even come where the divers were today in my opinion. They KNEW what was going on, and just like when they tried to embarrass Tim before, here they came.

I don't think a memorial to Caylee is about comfort for strangers. We all do care and feel as though we are attatched to this little girl but we should have compassion for her family who are deteriorating before our very eyes in their attempt to deny their greif. Caylee doesnt need us to comfort her, she is at peace. A memorial should not be forced on the people who need comfort the most.

Good point. There is NO WAY DCF would ever let any child reside in that household after this. There is potential for harm from all of those people with their random acts of violence all documented. I believe that was a violent household before this occurred. Cindy choking KC in front of Caylee would be enough to keep a child out of that household, much less all the violence on protesters.
