How do you feel about the memorial service planned for Caylee?

Clearly Mr. Grund had genuine emotions behind this service and he had asked that it be a prayer vigil, not a memorial, no wreath by the river, etc.

He did a beautiful sermon and I think there was nothing wrong with todays Vigil. It's OK to let a 12 year old hold a Vigil for a missing/dead child but not for an Adult, The Search Teams, The people that are looking for her? I am not bashing Dakota, it was a very nice thing to do for the Anthony's, all I am saying is that they did not object to that, when they should of knowing that this was a young girl and this is not something you should be dragging children into, but they allowed, they allowed Casey to write to her, (Which by the way the Judge said she was to have no contact with minors), and she let Casey send her a bracelet. It was wrong for all the adults in this case, this is not something another child needs to be exposed to. But, the media was eating it all up. But, now that an Adult, The Search Teams, The people that are looking for her, want to hold a day in honor of Caylee, a Vigil, it's a crime? Something is wrong with that picture.

you actually see some people who think since they have followed Caylee's case for 16 weeks that Caylee actually belongs more to them than to her own family or that they love Caylee more than the people who actually know her. It's really strange. I could certainly imagine searchers feeling the need to hold a prayer service, but it's a shame this turned into a memorial service. Caylee is missing. Her body has not been found. It isn't appropriate to memorialize her as if she is dead. Holding prayer vigils, absolutely, tying yellow ribbons to trees or her grandparents' mailbox hoping for her return, absolutely. But this wasn't just prayers, it was a wreath placed by a river, statements that they believe she is in the river dead, etc, not appropriate at this time. Very sad. It sounds like Mr.Grund had suggested they not call it a memorial but instead have a prayer vigil, which Mr. Padilla agreed to, but in the end unfortunately it somehow still turned into a memorial.

OK Caylee is dead and her mother is charged with her murder. They do not indict based on a "hunch" a death has occurred. Her body will never be found b/c it is just a tiny skeleton. This memorial happened w/o the A's blessing b/c no one has any respect for them. Nobody. They only care about kc's defense and covering up what she did with Caylee. We all know this. People tie yellow ribbons on trees for familys that are truly mourning the loss of a child, not familys seeking out every camera in a 100 mile radius to get the propaganda spread for their daughter's defense. Not familys who drive around town with a billboard accepting $ they never use to actually search for the child who is "missing". Not familys who spend more time on the internet trying to fight every evil word that is said about them. The only thing that is "very sad" is the fact the A's are still putting on this show, a show where kc is a martyr and Caylee is thrown under the bus. It was a memorial because Caylee deserves it and her family will never give it to her.

Thank you for the link Pink. Glad he cleared up some misunderstandings concerning LP, but more important, reminding us it is all about precious Caylee.

I don't think anybody but the family should hold a memorial service for someone who is deceased, unless they are a very close friend of the family and doing it on their behalf. Also, not quite sure a memorial is justified in this case just yet-how do you, as an outsider (for all intents and purposes), hold a memorial service for a child whose family still believes she's alive?

I really like Leonard Padilla but I hope he and the other organizers of this memorial do apologize to Caylee's family. I just can't imagine if my child were missing and someone did this.

I believe any parent/grandparent who faced the reality of the forensic evidence, would have accepted the responsibility themselves for a memorial service for their child within weeks after the forensic tests came back. The tests have been back for many weeks and the Anthony's keep saying Caylee is alive. The only reason IMO the Anthony's have not held a memorial service is because they are trying to create reasonable doubt among the public/jurors despite the evidence.

I feel Richard Grund and Lenny Padilla had this service for all of us who have grown to love Caylee, but would never have a chance to be part of saying good bye to her. Rev. Grund's words were very loving, from his heart and soul. He loved little Caylee probably as much as the Anthony's. He thought she was his granddaughter for over half her life. Caylee has been gone for five months now, I don't think that is being in a rush to end this or have closure. I also don't feel Rev. Grund or Lenny owe the Anthony's anything, they did what they did from their hearts. To do nothing is as if Caylee never was important or ever existed.

LP is just flat wrong to hold a memorial service for Caylee. It is not his to do.

A prayer service at Caylee's favorite, Jay Blanchard Park, and planting a beautiful tree or donating a park bench in her honor would allow people to express their emotions through prayer and by placing a permanent reminder of her, put her to rest in a place. A place for prayer.

But a memorial service is inappropriate.

I don't know what he thinks this service will acomplish vis-a-vis KC, but even the most heart wrenching of memorials would not phase her one bit and would be "a waste - a huge waste." LP still thinks he is dealing with someone who has a conscience, human emotion and empathy for others. Sociopaths are empty shells and nothing reaches them.

Thanks for the link Pink Nothing in the prayer service was spiteful against the A's!! And i find it funny they are acting like TES search was ok with them when thats been proven otherwise.As for Kids finder I hope they realize there statements and the way they acted the other day raised red flags for many. IMO that non-profit Org. didnt do there so called cause any favors and I dont see them lasting much longer. IMO there action towards the camera man speaks loud and clear.And they should not be working with children with tempers like that. Thats not a message I want my children to see or any other child for that matter!

Who cares what NG says there are hundreds of cases for her to report on. Her show is for entertainment, it is not real, it is a tv show. LP can do the prayer service if he wants, he is a very nice sincere man. Maybe he felt responsible for getting the ball rolling getting the witch out of jail. KC is a sociopath, a heartless, cruel monster. She has everyone wrapped around her finger and is pulling the strings. Her parents are no better, they have shady associates, are ignoring the obvious without regard to Caylees memory. They are selling donated t shirts, collecting money for an organization that has no merit.

Anyone can hold a memorial service which is just another name for a vigil, you do not need the families blessings.

I do not believe Leonard Padilla has an ulterior motive other than to ensure Casey Anthony spends the rest of her sorry life behind bars, never free.

He wants Caylee brought home just as bad as we all do. Sadly, the only ones who don't are the ones who are creating doubt, now in a cover up for their murderess child. I will not say they are in denial anymore. GA knows, his heart told him so the day he drove that car home. His latest interview is very telling. His heart is killing him thinking he's raised a child who murdered their child. I have no more sympathy for this family who stand defiant against anyone who look for Caylee's remains and who don't share their view that Caylee was kidnapped. This is a family of pathological liars. I will never believe anything that comes out of any one of the Anthony's mouths anymore. Karma is a kicker and their time will come....Karma has a way of catching up...

How can they negate the evidence that proves human decomp, Caylee's or Casey's hair with the death band, Casey is alive so, it is Caylee's hair, by exclusion, high levels of chloroform, why would there be chloroform in her car? Why would there be a decomposing human being in her car? Why can't these be answered. It's not conclusive CA spews, only because they do not have the remains of Caylee to compare them to.

No pizza smell. The test also proved it would dry out first, never will there be maggots on pizza.

The Anthony's must think people are ignorant, that they can't see through them. CA needs to wake up and place blame where blame belongs. CASEY MARIE ANTHONY is the only one responsible for Caylee's demise, wise up Cinday, you look like a fool....:furious:
