How is the Defense Spending the Taxpayer's Money?

  • #61
On behalf of all of my dear friends who are Florida taxpayers, I am outraged at the defense costing them money for the likes of Jeremy Lyons to go around harassing TES volunteers to the tune of thousands and thousands of dollars. In the words of my hero, Tim Miller, "Frankly I am pissed off about it".:furious:

Please guys post his photo again so anyone reading here will know who he is when he shows up on their doorstep.

I am still po from the call I got from them saying they were from TES, I just fume every time I think about it.

Better yet, don't ever answer the door when it's a stranger. I live in a very safe neighborhood and about 5 miles from my house a woman made that mistake. Once the door was open he pushed his way in and raped her. It's simply not worth taking the chance...too many crazies running around.

Did you hang up on them?

Oh, y'all are gonna LOVE this. Detailed Lyons billing records from the JAC motion. I'll have it scanned and up ASAP. :rocker:

Plus the phantom heart sticker motion and memo of law. :)

Here's the JAC Notice of filing. Exhibit A was 26 pages and just the JAC Investigator guidelines, I skipped that since I thought it's already available here somewhere. Looked like a PowerPoint presentation, printed out.

Exhibit C is Lyons' billing statements; Exhibit D is the JAC response to specific bills, usually "Not enough detail provided." heh

I love it! I think we need to chip in and buy Baez a dictionary for dummies. I don't think he knows how to read a regular dictionary. It's like kindergarten with him. Okay, Baez, now PI's do this...and paralegals do this...do you understand?

I made that Exhibit A page just to show what it was. I skipped getting the 26 pages to save money, it's gotta be here somewhere.... :)

You know it seems to me when reading the billing that Lyons could save a lot of time and JAC money if he simply called witnesses he wanted to talk to beforehand and set up a suitable time. Is there any reason it would be necessary for him to turn up uninvited and unexpectedly on their doorstep?

Oh don't need to read it, just love that they submitted it, so funny! They may as well have put this in the filing:

EXHIBIT A

How not to
be a [feminine hygiene product].
26 pages.

Well, turning up on their doorstep increases the intimidation factor...it's too easy to hang up the phone on someone, but when they're in your face, not so easy to make them go away...

I never knew that one of the duties of an investigator was to help prepare a defense witness list.

I'm looking at the exhibits C & D, PI Lyons didn't even bill using the right case number!!! The case number belongs to a man charged with theft and armed robbery!

Wow, great catch Nums!!! I knew y'all would find all the little details that are wrong with just about everything the defense does. heh
