URGENT NEW APPEAL - Christina Bartram - #Budapest, #Hungary - #Missing #elveszett

30 year old Christina was on a night out during a holiday to Budapest, Hungary. She became separated from her companion and has not been seen since. She made a phonecall to a friend in which she appeared scared. Her last known location was 7th District, near Nayar St, Budapest. There are serious concerns for her safety and well-being.

Christina is 165cm tall and of average build. She has blue eyes and long brown curly hair. At the time of her disappearance she was wearing a hip length black jacket, yellow trainers, a yellow/green t-shirt, fishnets, a pink furry hat and long black patterned socks.

Facebook link does not works for me. I am from Budapest, Hungary. The official police report is still open, there are no news on her being found (but Hungarian bureaucracy ist rather slow, so it can be that it's simply not updated yet.

There is no Nayar str in Budapest, do you mean Nyár str? It is a very central street in a very central district, near to universities, schools, synagogues and the Jewish district with strong security, and a lot of bars. The 7th district is a famous party district with a lot of ruin pubs aimed at tourists and that means, consequently, a lot of drunken foreigners at night. It is not a dangerous district and has a quick access to public transportation at any time of the day and night. I can see how a tourist not understanding the language and being most likely in a drunken state, can become frightened and disoriented rather quickly though (there are a lot of similar looking small streets).
The only danger at this district are other drunken tourists. I am a woman and I would walk Nyár street during the night alone without fear. I would try to avoid the Bachelor party-going groups of drunken Irish lads though.

Locals have been fighting this ruin pub culture since years. It is not nice to have drunken tourists on their Bachelor party shouting under your window at 3 am, having sex in your courtyard (no wonder most courtyards in this district are closed even during the day) and vomiting into your postbox. There are signs everywhere asking the tourists to be silent after midnight and respect the locals' rights to a night's rest, with no avail.
