Again stay safe everyone. It looks like Freeport will be hit hard. We rent a Condo on the Ocean about a ten minute drive away. It is so beautiful and quiet. Sad to see it will be hit again. Much of it has never recovered from Matthew if you drive around the Island.

Ok, my ‘hood is going to get outer bands about 3-4pm today. I’m in Sarasota County near the airport. I don't think all the lawnmowers have stopped in 2 days. High grass means snakes so it gets cut lower. Bringing in stuff off the lanai now too.

People forget that with a storm this big, that the rain bands that never stop can be devastating. Nothing like 24 inches of rain in a day. We had ants crawling up the side of our house, it was like something out of a horror movie.

Hurricane Dorian's winds reach 180 mph as storm is expected to stall over Bahamas, forecasters say - CNN

Updated 12:37 PM EDT, Sun September 01, 2019

180-mph sustained winds are bringing "catastrophic conditions" to the Abaco Islands, the National Hurricane Center said, and forecasters predict the Category 5 storm will remain over the Bahamas into Monday.

With gusts over 200 mph, Dorian has become "the strongest hurricane in modern records for the northwestern Bahamas," the center said.

Some more live web cams:
This one's a little clunky but if you zoom out on the map there are cam options all along the Fla. coast from Miami up to Daytona. Also has traffic cams on I-95. Great source IMO.

Also check YouTube as there are a number of livestreams currently.

Yes, I have come across two live feed videos that claim to be live but they are fake.

There are over two thousand people watching one that is a fake video with an open chat going . I reported them to YouTube but at times like this, people do strange things like putting up fake feeds.

Yes, I've seen some fake/old videos too. Just like old photos of the Amazon fires that were going around. It's easy to get caught up in breaking news and not vet sources like we WSers know to do.

Lol- we had that a few years back w those creepy moth larvae. Nobody does bugs quite like FL. Recently saw “Empire of the Ants” on Svengoolie. Worthwhile vintage FL horror flick. Good one to add to post hurricane download collection.
