I'm glad to hear that the claims about the safety of the jail weren't a bunch of hoo-hah (as my mom used to say). Sad about the comments from Houston's general population which really are uncalled-for.

I'm glad they were safe but I still don't feel like they should have taken that kind of chance with human lives.

We finally got our cable back last night. I was missing Fox soooooooooo bad.

Anyway I have a comment. My BF and others have been *itching about how long it took to get power and such restored. I admit not having any amenities for 2 weeks was hard and frustrating. But I got to thinking about it. Considering the sheer magnitude of the millions of people it affected I think a pretty good job was done.

We got our electric bill yesterday and it was only $41. LOL
