My sister in Houston lives off of FM 1960 in Champion Forrest did not flood but couldn't get out of her neighborhood for a few days. I have a brother in Victoria, Texas. Both had vacation homes on the coast with minimal damage from Harvey. Have a granddaughter at Ft. Hood, Texas.
I posted here on WS in 2008 about my brother in Pinellas County on the waterway. I have a niece in Big Pine Key, Florida. She went up to my brother's and now the hurricane is to be bad there also!
I'm in Louisiana where bad weather inevitably happens frequently.
I think my whole family needs to just move to Alaska or somewhere. We are all emotionally exhausted from worrying about each other. I'm worried about my brother and my niece because they did not evacuate and are in a condo on the second floor of the building. As long as they have their beer, rum, and their Jimmy Buffet music, they are happy campers. I just talked to them a little while ago and told them to let me and the rest of the family know if they survive. I was being only a tiny bit sarcastic. I'm more worried than they are.
My thoughts and prayers are with everyone in the path of Hurricane Irma. Take care all of you!
*I almost didn't post on this thread except to say my thoughts and prayers are with all Floridians. What are the odds of having family in both Harvey and Hurricane Irma?? I'm moving to Alaska. I mean it!
