I just read in the Thomas book that the tape was laying sticky side up on the blanket once John removed it...those fibers could have come from anywhere in the home, including when Patsy threw herself on the body when it was brought upstairs..

That's why John Ramsey picked up her little body and brought her upstairs..........That's the REASON.

I don't know Mama.....I still think the parents are not guilty of anything other than arrogance in this case...I don't think JR was thinking about 'fibers' when he found his daughter's body....

Short of a confession from someone who actually had the opportunity to commit the crime, this case won't be solved. Without a confession, there has been too much doubt raised about every piece of evidence (and the Boulder authorities handling of it) to convince a jury beyond reasonable doubt that a given individual (<cough> John Ramsey <cough>) did it.

Sheesh--you still have some people on this board who think Karr could have done it after he's been released without charges! They don't seem to understand that the Boulder DA had absolutely NO EVIDENCE linking him to the crime, other than Michael Tracy's say-so and his own crack pot confession. Imagine if they were on a jury!

I don't know for sure LaMer but I wouldn't doubt it!
Someone at the house that day cleaned off all the counters supposedly with ajax....................Can you believe that? Talk about getting rid of evidence.....

Did they collect fibers from the washcloth/towel from her bathroom, that was used to clean her up after she wet to bed?

Also, was this looked at: When you carry a child they wrapped their legs around your waist. Putting their crouch right on your clothing, thus fibers are transferred. Just wondering since I really don't know all these little details.

Like Thomas said...by the body being brought upstairs..ALL fiber evidence was compromised., day1.

Compromised by none other than John Ramsey himself carrying the body, then Patsy throws herself across it, both solely for the purpose of contaminating the fiber evidence!!!

Most of you in this thread seem to know and have kept up with this case way better than I so I have a question. I'm still trying to play catch-up and going back several years to read/research information. Of all the things about this case that make my head spin, there is one tidbit I came across earlier today and just can't quite rationalize the why's of it. Maybe someone here can help?

I read in several factual places that while PR was on the phone with 911, JR was practically on his hands and knees reading the RN.
I am going out on a limb here and I'm going to ASSume his reasoning for reading the RN spread across the floor, while he was on hands and knees was because he didn't want to contaminate any evidence,, possibly put any fingerprints on the RN........
YET upon finding his daughter he quickly swooped her up and carried her stiff body to the stairs?

If anything I would think he and PR would have grabbed that RN, BOTH holding it while reading it, lips moving to the written words, carrying it with them to the phone while they dial 911....handle the RN all they want but NOT touch the body. They seem to have done it backwards, no?

JR had the common sense at a terrible time to NOT touch the RN but removed duct tape from and carried a stiff JBR to the stairs?????
It's just not computing in my widew grey matter.

That's because you think like an innocent person would. JR's actions are those of a guilty killer. He knows better than to leave his prints on the fake ransom note, but contaminate the fiber evidence on her body.

Glad you asked, Eagle1! We can date them because we know where they came from (Patsy and John's clothes) AND we know they were wearing those clothes that day! That's how most police do it.
