10/13/2025 10pm update: Alexis is still missing. It’s been a 8 days now. Whoever is with her - PLEASE have her call home.

This is not what we wanted to have to do, but Alexis is missing. She was placed in a mental/behavioral health facility in Cedar Rapids (Iowa), but managed to escape. She does not have her medication, which is a major safety concern. She is willingly getting into cars with strangers and making very unsafe choices. She could be anywhere at this point. Anyone who knows anything, PLEASE do the right thing. Have her call me so I know she's alive. We are worried for her safety.

The Charles City Police Department is asking the public to be on the look out for missing 14-year-old Alexis Kostka.

Alexis is described as being 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 192 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts are asked to contact local authorities or the Iowa Missing Persons Division of Criminal Investigation at (515) 725-6036.
