Not going to blame anyone, but why was this little girl sleeping at this guy's house?

He is the father of the other child staying, who was Breasia’s half brother, I would assume it was sort of an uncle relationship to breasia. Except unfortunately we see some sad statistics when it comes to non blood related domestic/sexual abuse Moo

Dinkins son is her half brother who was also sleeping over his dads apartment.

@GoBuckeyes @Dre And anyone else who may think I’m blaming the mother; I’m not, and won’t, because that’s never my place to judge. I do have many questions, though. I can’t even begin to fathom having this happen to my child. I’m just in a tough place I think because I’ve had some unfortunate things happen to me which I know is part of why I am so aware of everyone my child is around. I understand that may not be the case for every parent, but wouldn’t a parent expect a phone call from your 10 year old to say “goodnight” and “love you’” when she’s spending the night at a long criminal history listed sex offenders apartment? When did her mother last hear from her? What were the sleeping arrangements? Has she slept there before? I wonder what the girlfriend of dink actually knows. Breasia didn’t deserve any of this, of course, but as others have said, I, too, am thankful her body was found and am comforted in knowing she’s in the best place there is. It doesn’t make it any less infuriating, though. I can’t wait for justice to be served to this monster.

Aishia Lankford had just gotten off work Thursday night when she saw her 10-year-old daughter, Breasia Terrell, had called her.

Saturday Lankford told TV6 around 9:13 p.m. on Thursday, the girl had texted “‘Good night, mommy. I love you.‘”

“And I had texted her back and I told her ‘good night, I love you too,’” Lankford said, her voice getting shaky.

It was the last time she had contact with Terrell, who was reported missing early Friday. Davenport police say she was last seen in the 2700 block of East 53rd Street.

Court and jail records show Dinkins has a lengthy criminal history and is a registered sex offender who was convicted in 1990 of third-degree sexual abuse involving a minor when he was 17. He was most recently jailed in Iowa's Scott County for allegedly operating under the influence and on charges of violating the sex offender registration's requirements, according to the court records.

If she did, he likely passed it off as either having been caught trying to get an escort, or parents pressing charges of statutory rape since he was likely very young in 1990.

I think that predators in general are really good at manipulating and minimizing issues very smoothly, putting people at ease quickly so that they won’t give it a second thought.

I’m in Iowa now but sad to realize I won’t pass anywhere near Davenport as I would love to leave a token for beautiful Breasia.

That’s a very nice thought and gesture of you to leave a token, regardless of you not being able to make it to Davenport. Safe travels to your destination!
Also, he was accused (and pleaded guilty) to sexually abusing a five year old child in March of that year, and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Yep to post 769..I've been here in Davenport all week taking care of my parents and everywhere I've gone has posters for justice for this young girl...however..not blaming mom..but its well known here that mom knew about his past and her family and friends knew as well. I'll leave at that so I do not break TOS rules. She knew.

This situation is heartbreaking. Breasia’s mom and Dinkin had a relationship that produced a son who is now eight years old. So Dinkin has known Breasia since she was a baby/toddler ... and her mom has known him .... no excuse for Breasia being alone with him ... none! Moo

Yes, she was aware of his status as a pedophile. I don't think it was a secret as he was 17 yrs old and molested a 5 year old relative. He went to jail for this and is a top tier offender.
Others came forward and said they were molested by him as well but no charges were filed in those cases for whatever reason.
She has stated in an interview that him being a registered sex offender and his "weird" behavior led to them seperating. Although it's been said that the relationship continued in some fashion after the "break-up".

MOO Reading this, I doubt this would have been the first time he did something to her, he might have been grooming her since she was a toddler if the relationship with her mum was ongoing JMO

Henry Dinkins, 48, of Davenport, was named as a “person of interest” soon after the disappearance of Breasia, 10, was reported missing July 10 of 2020.

Dinkins is being held in Clinton County Jail for Scott County on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender.

Pretrial conferences for Dinkins will be May 5 in Scott County Court.

A local nonprofit organization with various domestic violence support services is donating sales from gift sets to Breasia Terrell's family, a 10-year-old girl who went missing and whose remains were later found dead in the Quad Cities region.


Argrow's House's will donate 100% of proceeds from their National Crime Victim's Rights gift sets to Breasia's family for National Crime Victim's Rights Week April 18 through the 24th.

The organization said they hope the proceeds will help Breasia's family cover funeral expenses and legal fees from an ongoing homicide investigation after Breasia's remains were found in Clinton County last month.

That's true, she did know his status, so did the rest of the family- I remember Breasia's Aunt (LL) said Dinkins offered to babysit her daughter and she told him NO.

BREAKING: Scott County Attorney Mike Walton announced first degree murder charges against Henry Dinkins in the murder of 11-year-old Breasia Terrell.

The charging documents accuse Dinkins of kidnapping Breasia from an address on 53rd St. in Davenport, shooting and killing her back on July 10, 2020. Police named Dinkins a person of interest at the onset of the investigation. He is the father of Breasia’s half-brother, and Breasia was staying with him the night she disappeared.

Her body was found by fisherman in March on a rural property in DeWitt.

Investigators also added that Breasia’s Mother has been “supportive and cooperative” throughout the last 10 months.
