This one sounds pretty scary to me. He was reported missing on February 7, but last seen by his roommates on February 3 - they also said he stopped taking his medications (which includes "becoming violent and suicidal") and also had stopped eating a week prior to going missing.

"On Feb. 7, Christopher Golliher was reported missing to the Fort Madison police by his mother, Michelle Shelton.

According to Fort Madison PD, Golliher was last seen on Feb. 3 by his roommates.

Shelton told police that it’s not uncommon for her son to just leave, but this time he left his phone, wallet and jacket behind.

Golliher is unstable when he is off his medications, which includes him becoming violent and suicidal.

Police describe Golliher as a 35-year-old white male with brown eyes, short brown hair, a beard, approximately 5′11 tall, weighing 280 pounds. He has a My Pet Monster tattoo on one arm as well as having “Mayhem on a Stick” under his bicep.

A local U.S. Marine Corp veteran has been missing for more than six weeks despite an ongoing search by local authorities and entry in a national online reporting site.

Christopher Michael Golliher, 35, was reported missing from 2005 Ave. E in Fort Madison on Feb. 7, and was last seen on Feb. 3.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information leading to Golliher’s location.

According to the report filed by Golliher’s mother, Michelle Shelton of Keokuk, Golliher had been living in the basement in the home of some friends, Amber Sawyer and Josh Norvell, at 2005 Ave. E, since December.

On Feb. 4, Sawyer informed Fort Madison Police that Golliher was missing from the home, which was not unusual, however Sawyer stated that this time he left without taking his cellphone, wallet or jacket.

Lee County, Iowa (WGEM) - After about a year of investigation, police are still searching for a missing Lee County man.

February of last year is the last time anyone reports seeing 36-year-old, Christopher Golliher.

After almost a year, no one knows where he is.

Now, the Fort Madison Police Department is asking for your help find Golliher, who his mother said, wouldn’t disappear without a reason.

Michelle Shelton said the last year of searching for her son has been a roller coaster.

“I saw him last or talked to him I think it was on a Monday, a Monday or Tuesday, I don’t even remember anymore,” Shelton said.

Shelton said the pain she feels in not knowing if her son is safe can be overwhelming. She tries to ignore the pain by avoiding thinking of the case.

“It’s hard, I try to avoid it, talking about it as much,” Shelton said.

Fort Madison Detective Bryson Hennigar said police are still hopeful they’ll find Golliher.

“We remain optimistic that he is alive, but obviously we are prepared for that if he’s not alive,” Hennigar said.

Hennigar would not say when they suspect foul play or not.
