The Des Moines Police Department is requesting the community's assistance with locating a missing endangered person.

45-year-old David Earleywine was reported missing on Dec. 6th. Law enforcement and family efforts to locate David have not produced results.

David missed scheduled medical appointments last week, and it appears that the last contact David has had with anyone was Nov. 28th.

David is 6'0" tall, and weighs approximately 192 lbs. A clothing description is not available.

David Earleywine, 45, has not been seen or heard from since Nov. 27, his sister told KCCI. He was reported missing to Des Moines police on Dec. 6 after missing medical appointments.

Earleywine was last seen on Colfax Avenue, which is also E. 33rd Street, north of E. Douglas Ave. That's where his family is organizing a search for him. They ask anyone who is willing to help to meet them in that area at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 20.

To me, there's a decided difference in the photos. IMO , either a physical ailment, or under the influence, perhaps. I wonder if the "medical appointments" is much needed treatment for the same. (Iowa doesn't have detailed court records for the public but I wouldn't be surprised if court ordered treatment was part of his latest plea deal in 2025 on drug charges).

He is currently out on supervised released pending trial.

There is a period of no charges but that ties into his above noted time in prison (2009) This, unfortunately, is a person who is likely struggling heavily with addiction, and they need some help.
