Child pornography recovered from North Liberty [IA] man’s home
July 27, 2011

"Marion and North Liberty police officers recovered computer images, videos and printed images of child erotica and child pornography during a search of a North Liberty man’s apartment who was indicted last week in federal court.
Edwin Hadley Donnan, 45, [was] charged with two counts of receiving, possessing and distributing child pornography..."

"...Donnan said he had distributed child pornography by posting it to social websites, one called “G BOYS,” which generated the cyber tip police received to investigate, according to the warrant. He also said he traded photos with others that he met while chatting in various pornographic and other websites...."

"... Donnan also maintained numerous printed stories concerning the sexual abuse of children and burned several CDs and downloaded child porn to his MP3 player, according to the warrant. Donnan said he carried the player in his lunch cooler to work at ACT in Iowa City. Donnan denied having sexual contact with a child, saying he used the images to “control his urges..."

North Liberty man sentenced to prison for child pornography
March 19, 2012

"A North Liberty man will spend nearly 11 years in prison for child pornography charges. Edwin H. Donnan, 45, was sentenced to 130 months imprisonment for one count of receiving and distributing child pornography. Police received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children indicating that an IP address was associated with uploading child pornography to the "G Boys" social network..."

"...After his prison term, Donnan will serve a supervised release term of eight years."
