The Girls had to have gone into a vehicle. Most likely in the direction that the dogs found their scent in the woods. There is no other explanation as to why the dogs lost scent after that. IMO And sadly it seems no one saw this vehicle by the sounds of it. JMO Don't they have cameras on those hwys?We do here.

Iowa does have some cities with speed cameras but so far as I know, there are none along the highways. I don't think Evansdale has any (locals?) but Waterloo does.

Not too helpful since the perp didn't have to go through Waterloo to get away.

Iowa does not have any toll roads, either.

AND ... from reading over on FB it seems the "incident" is fairly interesting. I mean, at this point anyway with nothing else new to talk about.

Obviously, reporters do not work 24 hours a day. They work normal shifts like everyone else. So it would be really easy for them to miss a late-night incident that may or may not amount to much.

Not sure if I can post his here, but I'm going to try....

About the little incident last night, Jules had asked someone to alert the media. I tweeted all the reporters who have been covering the case (about 20). This morning, I had 8 responses, ALL asking "how do you know this?" and "where can I find details?"

Seriously?! The reporters don't listen to the scanner and/or follow the FB group for leads?! That made my heart sink. I think I have been giving too much credit to the media and possibly LE. Ugh.

Doesn't surpise me.

Following the scanner is time consuming, with a very low likelihood of getting information that way. Interns, being the lowest of the low and therefore unable to squirm out of it, are most likely to be the ones assigned to listen to scanners.

Following FB... they probably check it once or twice a day and that's it. Again, there's a possibility that interns may be assigned to do the FB patrol.

A friend of mine who is a retired reporter said that many reporters develop contacts with people in the area whose hobby is listening to the scanner. They mostly rely on getting a message from their known contacts.

Where were the construction workers parked that day?! Not sleuthing them, but if the perp parked w/ the workers trucks he would most likely go unnoticed by the public (and the workers were probably working, not paying attention to their vehicles). In IL we have two seasons, winter and construction. Usually they park their personal trucks somewhere close to the jobsite.

Of anyone involved in the case, I would guess TB as the one most likely to be following coverage of the case closely.

So her remarks could be coloured by what has already been in the media (the lawn watering man, etc).

I don't think Aunt TB is consciously a liar but I do think she tells a good story, has a vague grip on details and her memory may well be tainted by what others say.

And really, don't most families have an Aunt TB as a relative or close friend? I know I do.

No disrespect intended at all, but just curious if you read Aunt T's court documents? My impression of her is very different than that of the well intentioned, bumbling aunt.

The only way IMO that this was staged would be the kids are safe. However i doubt that as it has been to long and very mean thing to do to the family members who love these girls.

This is looking more like a sex/revenge crime and that means the girls are in danger or dead. Very sad.

someone local to the area and passingly acquainted with one or both girls might stage the scene to appear as something else therefore, buying them more time to evade discovery.

My own feelings are not hopeful that the girls are alive. I pray I am mistaken but if, as I suspect, this was unrelated to parents histories and more a pedophile sex offense type motivated crime, odds of them being alive are just not as good in my opinion.

I really, really don't like FB and reading most people's FB pages for me is akin to chalk on a blackboard.

Howevah! I do realise I'm at a disadvantage in online sleuthing by not having better knowledge of FB and what can or cannot be done.

I'm so glad you clarified the issue and I predict that there are many questions you will probably be asked to clarify.

I have to agree with you and often times I find FB nothing but a rumor and gossip mill.

IMO

Who was the last person to confirm seeing the girls and at what time?

  • #616
If the perp is on this site reading these post here is a message for you. Your Lord God is watching you, he will forgive you, just ask. Do the right thing and release the girls or let authorities know where they are.

Oh Your welcome!
I always look up the Dep of trans or traffic and weather cams!
You can usually find some cameras!

I believe it was Grandma (Wilma Cook, a.k.a. WC)., 12:30 pm on the day the girls were declared missing. What I would like to know is who was the last person other than a family member who last saw Elizabeth and Lyric - a credible, third party verified sighting.

I wonder who could have been missing from the pic that day?
