I thought E's brother was Dans alibi, wasnt he?

Not sure, but I think Dan has an older son, maybe from another relationship.

Jules, you might want to EDIT the 12 yr olds name out of your post. it's against TOS to include it...

Thank you for catching that! I removed it.

i hope, cause i dont like the word "still" in the lake...which could imply that le was certain that the girls had been in the lake at some point? no?

If it was Abben and that's what he said, even if he didn't mean to say it exactly that way, then it sounds to me like they think (thought) that the dogs did hit on the girls scent at the edge of the water. They must have really thought the girls had been to the water's edge.

Does anyone know off hand about where in these threads I could find Ollipops photos? I am not quite sure how to search for those?

Also the map someone so nicely posted (Jules, maybe?) with the fence in yellow?

Huge tia!

Here is the one with the yellow fence. Is this the one you wanted?

Really? His name is being quoted in an official news story.

Finally found it.... this is where Grandma says the dad (Drew) came home.

COOK: Well, I took her from my house -- I live in Waterloo, and her mom left for work. She rode with me to Heather`s house, my other daughter in Evansdale. And I go there every day for four or five hours, and she always goes with me. And because Heather is not well and she has four little kids. And we did a daily routine that day at, you know, in her house doing things, eating breakfast and all that stuff.

And so it was at 11:30, they asked me if they could go for a short bike ride, and I said yes. And they`ve done this millions of times. And they`ve never, never went that far. I could go outside and yell their names, and they would eventually hear me.

And this day, they just didn`t come back. And so K____ (ph), Elizabeth`s brother, he`s 12 -- I hopped in my car because the dad came home, and I went searching Elk Run. We were down by Meyers Lake. We drove all over every little park and Evansdale, Elk Run, every mentionable place, downtown area. And we couldn`t find nobody.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1207/17/ng.01.html

So this seals it for me that she never saw those kids from 11:30 until MAYBE
when they rode through the pking lot area around 12:15ish. So this whole song and dance about them only going a block or two away and always coming back every little bit, makes no sense.

WHERE did the girls go from 11:30 until 12:20?

Also, what did she mean about every 'mentionable' place? What is she trying to say?

I believe its from a presser on the 19th which is before the FBI dive team made the last search of the lake. So, at that point, LE thought there was still a possibility they were in the lake. MOO

ETA: I think we're over analyzing his statement.

BBM -

We are! When I first mentioned it I was asking if LE had sought multiple videos from KWWL in the subpoena because I had found a video that had been removed from KWWL's web site and was wondering if it may have been included in the subpoena.

Tammy was not in the picture or on scene until she came back with Grandma from Waterloo and picked up E's brother and got to the lake at 2:45.

Interesting. Because in the post above here, there is an excerpt from Grandma, where she lists where she had just been:

"...and I went searching Elk Run. We were down by Meyers Lake. We drove all over every little park and Evansdale, Elk Run, every mentionable place, downtown area. And we couldn`t find nobody."

So grandma had already been looking out by Meyers Lake. So I still wonder why Aunt T. was so set on looking there first.

Yep, you have to remove minor's names unless they are the victim.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I removed it where I had included it too.

I think whatever happened to these girls happened by 12:30. Now I am going to go back and look at that again because she mentions E's brother - then drops it so I am not sure he went with her that first time. She does say "we" but I am not certain. Here is what she said:

"And this day, they just didn`t come back. And so K____ (ph), Elizabeth`s brother, he`s 12 -- I hopped in my car because the dad came home, and I went searching Elk Run. We were down by Meyers Lake. ............the dad came home...........

This may be a dumb question, but which Dad? Drew or Dan?

If Grandma last saw the girls at 12:15 (cctv) and she looked everywhere for them from 12:30 to 1:30 - either they were gone by 12:30 or she took them somewhere and that didn't happen if E's brother was with her... so they were gone before 12:30!

Last sentence BBM

I think she probably couldn't find the right words - I think she meant "you name/mention it, I went there". JMO

I've noticed Grandma sometimes words things a little strangely, which I attribute to the stress of having to answer people's questions. I'd probably come across as a gibberish-speaking lunatic under that kind of stress,

Drew, they were his kids.

I will admit that I am not up to speed on this case as many of you are.

I do try to read and get caught up if that is ever possible. After watching this video, many times we focus on what is said not what is actually going on it the background.

In the beginning of this video does anything stand out to any of you that are more up to speed with the case? Such as vehicles seen etc?

I'm sure it was Drew because it was his house they were at.
