I give you all credit for your patience in trying to understand what happened in this case, with so little to go on. I can't make my brain follow all of the various sets of initials, the various crimes and misdemeanors of the adults, etc...

I have said it before, but one reason I feel the girls were taken by someone who knew them (to some degree) is due to the discrepancy in size of the two; they might appear as an adult and a child, or an older teen and a child, from any kind of distance, not automatically as the two young children they are. Even the bikes were of varying size, if I recall reading that correctly, or at least Lyric's seemed to be a more adult-sized bike. A pedophile is not as likely to attempt, IMO, unless he is sure they are children.

I really feel like this is a local crime, by someone who had seen the girls before, or knew who they were; he did his horrible crime and returned to his dirty, secret disgusting double life, just like so many others in the past who somehow manage to exist right next door. Brianna Rodriguez comes to mind.

Quote from above article

Misty Morrissey said, "I told god...You know what Lord? The whole state is looking at you..."

Meantime, Lyric's mother, Misty Morriseey, told people at a concert in Waterloo Saturday evening, the girls fate is in God's hands.

"There's nobody but Jesus we're asking to help us to bring these girls home. Whether you bring them home alive or dead, it's your decision. There's no one we're looking to for glory except for the glory of Jesus Christ. 'Amen'.

Chelsea Beahr goes to court Tuesday on drug charges.

She was arrested at the same time as Dan Morrissey and Jason Stolfus.

Stolfus goes on trial next month.

Last week, he didn't show up for a court appearance in a child support case.

It's not clear how the three may or may not have known each other.

ALSO:

I am a fairly spiritual and religious person, but this does seem a bit odd.

COOK-MORRISSEY: I just started -- I just started the job at Casey`s, so the last five days, Lyric and Elizabeth have been playing at Heather`s every day, taking bike rides, so as far as a pattern, yes, could somebody have been watching them there, and seeing that they play together, that hang out together, this last week. Yes, that could have happened.

^ snipped from Sere-nity's full post ^ and BBM

MCM says Lyric & WC had been going to Elizabeth's house for the "last five days".

FYI since this came up a little earlier today.

So I wonder what they have been doing for the past 5 days?

They left on their bikes at 11:30 am the day they went missing. I still wonder where they went from 11:30 until 12:20, when they were caught on video.

I think they had to have been hanging out with someone somewhere. Because if they had been at the convenience store or the playground, I think we would have heard about that already.

Here is what she said:
"And this day, they just didn`t come back. And so K____ (ph), Elizabeth`s brother, he`s 12 -- I hopped in my car because the dad came home, and I went searching Elk Run. We were down by Meyers Lake. We drove all over every little park and Evansdale, Elk Run, every mentionable place, downtown area. And we couldn`t find nobody."

**Respectfully snipped **

Good catch.

Something else which jumps out at me is how GM refers to DC as ''the Dad''. First of all, BOTH girls were unaccounted for, not just Elizabeth. Why would WC refer to him as ''the Dad'' when (afaik) DC is the biological father of Elizabeth, not Lyric. Secondly, BIG red flag for distancing language. Why not just call him Drew, or Lizzie's Dad, or even ''my son-in-law" ?

" Couldn't find nobody ''. Distancing language again. Why not say '' The girls weren't there ", or " We didn't see Lizzie and Lyric anywhere ".

Do the Collins and WC have the same church affiliation ?

Well, first I want to send out a universal "Thanks" to everyone here. I seem to login, start reading, want to "Thank" someone and I'm logged out. Very frustrating. Anyway, thanks to everyone for all you do and for caring!

As to MCM being articulate. I watched the video that was supeonaed. and my impression was "smooth talker."

Do you click the little "box" next to your user name before you hit "log in"?

When you sign in, select the "keep me logged in" option. That should help.

My first thought was, "What little box?" So, I guess the answer is, "No!" Thanks, I'll look for that!

It's not odd to me. If my child was missing, I would probably say the same type of things. I hope I would. Doesn't mean I know how sincere MCM really is. Of course, I do not know that. But, just taking the things that she says, such as these things, at face value, I have to say her response is exactly what someone who knows Christ should be saying. MOO. I completely respect other opinions.

MCM, Lyric, & JW all attend (together from what I've found out) the same church as the Collinses. I don't know if WC is affiliated with their church but I know she has been at some of their prayer sessions.

OMG...that is WHY a timeline is SO important! Many of us can't make sense of the tape to the bikes but you open up the door...could something have happened before??? That makes sense! In every case, people harping about the timeline; is for a precise reason, to find the child & the the truth.

Assuming this is a grieving mother, which I currently do, I can understand this.

It must be absolute agony not knowing. Wanting to believe they are alive, but also just wanting this waiting to be over.

I can't pretend to understand what it's like to have a missing child ... however, I do know exactly what it's like to have a potentially dying child. It just wouldn't dawn on me to pray to Jesus that it's up to him to decide whether my child lives or dies. I prayed that my child would live.

There are certain Christian denominations, IIRC a Baptist group, in my town and their prayers always sounded more like demands to me. Struck me as odd, but to each his own. I don't think it's all that unusual.

Lol! Maybe not! I haven't set foot in that Church since the day I got married... guess I am heathen now!
still religious but.... yeah.:moo:

I am curious about the woman who was arrested with Dan. If they had an emotional relationship, and he 'narced' her out, she would be pretty angry.

I had not considered that a female might have been the perp, but?

Just now ready for bed but had to pop back on to say:

Happy Birthday, Elizabeth!! May the Lord God of Heaven bring you home soon!

When you log in, do you see a box that says ' Remember me."
If so, check that box and you might not keep getting logged out.
