I'm still wondering why the dad didn't report this latest abduction attempt for three hours? If that happened to my kid, I'd be on the phone to 911 in the blink of an eye. Something just seems off about this. MOO

Where was Heather while Grandma was watching the girls that morning? Her appointment was later that afternoon, right? Or was it around 11:30 when the girls left to bike ride? It's all blurring together for me.

I'd like to see a timeline of all the family members, set up like this:

Misty:
8:30 - 1:30 -- at work at Casey's
2:00 -- arrived at Collins house
2:30 -- left to search for girls

Tammy:
morning -- ??
1:30 -- Picked up in Waterloo by WC for unknown appointment
2:30 -- Searching for girls in Evansdale

I don't know if those times or facts are correct -- but I'd like to try to lay it out that way to see the timeline from a different perspective. It should be based on times they have reported themselves in the MSM.

Thoughts?

I also saw the tat in the fb pics - it was a photo of two hands on top of each other. BUT the person reporting this would have had to be really close to see it as it was a fairly small tat. (I'm not able to quickly check fb now....)

I have stayed away from the FB pages so am not up on any of the associates or to whom you are referring (and I am not asking) but wanted to mention that the info on the tattoo may not have come from dad but from the child who was being grabbed. He certainly had a much better opportunity to view a tattoo in that area than the father/witness.

There was a MS-13 gang leader convicted of sex trafficking teens in Northern Virginia. There was a number of them charged for being part of a ring that targeted teen runaways, as young as 14 to prostitute. So I don't think these kind of people would think twice to watch and wait for kids swimming or hanging out by themselves at a lake.

Yes, but I don't remember KC's name to look him up. You saw the white van at Meyers Lake and then you looked at the RSO's and found one you thought looked like the guy you saw in the van.

I mean you saw a RSO, level 3, maybe watching people in Evansdale then the attempted abduction Tuesday? He could be the driver and very involved. Scary. I looked up his address and IF I am doing this correctly, look how REMOTE this area is and there is more than one RSO living here.

The whole timeline thing is rather confusing. I read it the way you have it, I've also read where the searching started at 1:00, 1:30 and 2:00. I read it where WC was there when MCM got there and then left to pick up TB, I read it where MCM was called to come home at 1:30 and where she was called to come to HC's house when she got off at 2.

I know a lot of people (sometimes including myself) think that it's suspicious that the times keep changing, but I really think it's the opposite. If I were going to set something like this up, I'd make sure that everybody was well rehearesed about where they were and when. If they were really concerned about the girls, which I would imagine they were, there were probably other things on their minds than documenting the time.

I believe WC knew what time the girls left mainly because she checked the time to see how long it was before they had to leave before agreeing to let them go.

Why would someone "attempt" to abduct a child within close enough range of the father to see a tattoo on them? Maybe "the white van" people reported here, near the bikepath, near the lake and elsewhere are trying to steer the focus of the investigation elsewhere. Just a thought...

It happened on Kirkwood blve in Cedar Rapids which is right off interstate 380/27 which leads north to Evansdale.

I am not sure the father saw that tattoo. I think it might have been the little boy who described it. And they probably did not know that was his father on the motorcyle. Who would think a motorctyclist was on a bike ride with his 5 yr old?

If we think of the girls as 'stolen property' - as abhorrent as that is to our sensibilities - it is easy to imagine them passing through many hands if the end result was to be securing them for someone involved in child trafficking. It absolutely makes me sick to consider it, but to discount it is unwise in trying to figure out what happened here. People who commit crimes usually know other people who commit crimes. They rarely operate in a vacuum. I am glad we are discussing the human trafficking possibility. MHO since the FBI statement that they believe the girls are alive has been that element of crime is in play in this case.

Oh, I just had a truly sickening thought.

Maybe the FBI evidence that Sandy Breault referred to so obliquely is Elizabeth's or Lyric's picture found online and clearly taken after they were abducted (for instance, after a drastic hair cut).
