Is that BOTH grandmas in the background of that photo? Looks like Misty's mom and Dan's mom.

Yes, I think so. They look pitiful IMO.

can someone help me with the timeline...they would have had to travel 1.5 miles in 5 minutes? im stuck here

I have used Google and Bing to route every possible scenerio that makes any sense whatsoever and the shortest time I could come up with for a bike ride to the west side of the lake (where S. Evans becomes Arbutus) was 7 minutes. Most routes were 9 minutes. I made a map following the sidewalks that seemed most logical to travel from the direction the bikes were headed to the side of the lake where the bikes were found (not accounting for going through the woods to get on the trail, going down Arbutus to get there the long way or cutting through the grassy area as a short-cut) and the time was over 9 minutes.

Discussing the family with what we know in the media is allowed. Bashing the family is not allowed.

If you have inside info to post, (something not known in the media) you may want to consider becoming a verified local/insider. Its very easy to do and everything is confidential. If you decide not be become verified then you can only post facts with links. Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Jodi, hopefully a mod can clarify. Until then, can you make any general statements about the vigil overall without using names?

Thanks for going and supporting the efforts to find these special girls.

Edit: Ima, you're fast! Thanks so much!

Well, if you are a local, who was there, you can tell us in a very factual way, without including your judgement in what you type. :-)

Nevermind.

Just a comment about the pic of the "dog" on the shoreline. When I super enlarge it, it looks like the butt of a dog looking into a hole. MOO

Looks like a baby rhino to me. I can see the horn and collar and it has rabbit like ears!! I can also see a little munchkin/alien sitting on the log to right/center of the circle provided by Otto. He has on light colored boots and is extending his right arm out towards the circle. LOL Many of the posters in Mickey's case saw MANY things in the photo of the DWT...some saw her and bike under the DWT. It was all an illusion. Same here, it's the dirt bank, dug out with erosion and shadows cast upon it. IMO Of course, I don't know anything about dog handlers, but he doesn't seem too focused on the dog and has papers in his hands. If that's a dog, I'll eat a batch of mashed turnips....which I could :puke: just at the mere thought.

All I'm seeing and hearing at this point is the cat who ate the canary. MOO

That was my exact first thought last night too. Exact.

So LE is asking for tips, but they critique the tips they do get, and call them frivolous?
:waitasec:

imo

Now THAT should have been edited. imo Not very encouraging if wanting more.

if i get verified as a local, then i can talk in depth about the vigil? Or are certain things still off limits for verified people?

What is taped to Misty's upper arm? And why?

I have a friend who wears a very similar patch. She has taken so many high-powered narcotics by mouth that she can no longer taken them. They have ruined her stomach and digestive tract. She now has to wear a patch to receive her narcotics. Apparently these patches are very sought after. This friend has had members of her own family raid her garbage to get to the patches she has worn and thrown away...

I AGREE! the fence is 8 foot high.....THATS VERY HIGH!! Thanks for posting!
MOO
ArtzyPantz

Based on the height of the police vehicle, I think the fence is probably 6 feet in height.

Or it could be a patch to help her quit smoking cigarettes.

Or a giant bandaid.

I wonder if your friend might have worn something different, like a Fentanyl patch perhaps? Those deliver pain medication.

There are other patches one can wear to detect drugs - they are called Sweat Patches. Here's a link about them:

Nicotine patch? Did/does she smoke? Brand new tatoo covered up?

:dunno:

Looks like a sweat patch, because it has a number or writing on it...could also be a tattoo or perhaps a tetanus shot.

That is not a dog in that picture. It is a picture of a log with a truncated branch sticking out of the end.

Police don't bring dogs and let them run around without supervision or leashes.
