That strikes me more as something an enraged ex or a stalker might do.

Keeping in mind that people have picked up stalkers through very brief casual contact or no contact. For example, I read about one woman who worked as a cashier and her stalker thought she gave him a special smile. And celebrities pick up stalkers who have only seen them on TV or in the movies.

Dang scary if you really think about it. Customer service use to come with a smile but not so much anymore....I don't blame them actually; nor do I agree with name tags.

Thank you - yes, it is grainy footage ... I wonder if the FBI analysts have been able to glean anything useful from it.

The store manager Mr Pahl, reported the FBI spent a day and a half studying it. They were the only bikes to go past that day and the FBI made note of every vehicle (per Mr Pahl).

:maddening:It feels like somebody put out a bounty on kids this summer -- and every bumbling idiot is trying to collect -- and sometimes they get lucky.

Is there a thread open for him here?

I'd still like to know where cameras 1-5 are around that business. Or are there more than 6. ??

One of our verified locals physically checked. There is only one camera. I don't know what the camera 6 is all about.

Ollipop said there was only one camera visible from the back of the building.

I wouldn't be surprised to find out they had a cam out front and several inside the store.

That was the first time I've seen the video ... how can they tell it's the girls?

I believe its the girls because their grandmother saw them at about that same time.

Why LE believes its the girls--IDK-- but hope they got a lot clearer image than we did. Because I can tell its two people on bikes, going fast. Not much else.

I guess if Grandma saw them around the same time and they were the only bikes that showed up on the camera, it must be them. But damned if I can tell those are two little girls on bikes!

What do you mean by "cult"? Do you mean "occult"?

cult/kəlt/

Noun:
  • A system of religious veneration and devotion directed toward a particular figure or object.
  • A relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister.

There were only two cyclists go past the entire day, Lizzie and Lyric.

Animals mutilations and cruelty often is carried out by people who may or will move up to people. Many psychopathic killers and serial killers begin with animals sometimes as a means of honing skills. It is more a sign of criminally deviant and mentally ill persons than kids who dabble in odd religious practices.
I also concur that it could be someone trying to get back at someone, maybe the one who cared for the cat. At any rate it is not a sign of a mentally healthy individual.:maddening:

OK, I thought you may have meant occult.

Yes, there is atleast one cult in the area but I won't comment on it here. I don't want to offend anyone. I'm not local. But, I know there is the presence of a particular cult there because I've been looking into that myself.

Did their grandmother think it was them from the beginning and actually see them, though? I thought she'd said they left the house around 11:30-12 and then modified the time a little when the surveillance video came out. Not saying anything bad, it just might've helped her remember better what time they left. It was one of the way early articles I'm thinking of so it's probably been completely modified by now, but if I can find it I'll post it. My original understanding was that she saw them when they left and started looking an hour or so later when they hadn't returned. IIRC.

I know what you mean on the images, my first thought was how on earth could they tell it was the girls? But there might be better or enhanced images that were used to ID them. I hope.

In one of the videos (all the same video but a few different variations were released with different levels of zoom), you can also see some shadows behind the white trailer before and after the girls pass that to me looked like it might be someone walking by. I hope if they were able to enhance it enough to identify the girls they could enhance it enough to identify that person/people too, or tell if it was just shadows. If it was a person, for all I know they were taking out the trash or something but it'd be good for LE to know who it was and if they were either involved, or saw anything. IMO.

The details of how the identification was established have not been released.

Mr Pahl, the owner of Cornbelt auctions did say that there were only two bicyclists caught on tape that morning.

I seem to remember the grandmother saying they left about 11:30 and she saw them again at 12:15ish. ?????

Alabama Amber alert -- kidnap vehicle a full-sized white van

http://www.annistonstar.com/view/fu...ed-for-Anniston-5-year-old?instance=news_lead
Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 5-year-old boy believed to be abducted from a yard near his west Anniston home. Investigators are searching for Michiri Zaquae Dabney after his mother called authorities to say her son had been kidnapped, Lt. Fred Forsythe said.

*****

Someone snatched this little boy out of his own front yard in broad daylight. And, left a 9 year old witness.

Please forgive me for my off-topic question but will there be a thread for this little one (God willing he's found before someone answers this post)? What determines when a thread is opened? Thank you for any responses.

This is sad. I guess we have talked about everything to death and nothing left to say.
