Where did this chunked, chucked thing come from if I may ask?

Check a few posts back - Gma said someone could have "chunked" the bikes.

First, maybe because it was a transcript, "chucking" translate to "chunking"? Kind of up there with relying too heavily on Word's spell checker <lol>
I wonder, however, if WC meant another entrance to the Evansdale Nature Trail that is a bit further west of Elmer Ave? If you follow Gilbert west and pass Elmer Ave until almost to Jonas Rd (opposite, north side of Gilbert), there is a section marked on the map "Evansdale Nature Trail" that goes south and intersects with the trail proper. It passes an (empty) warehouse building that had caught my eye some time ago. Also, from Elmer, there really doesn't look to be that many houses/buildings where people might have seen them. IOW, not Exchange Park/boat dock, but a bit farther west. It does still match up to LE's areas of late.

That's true re: the transcripts. I've been surprised how off some of them are especially the recent ones. It makes sense if they're rushing to get it posted though - and I appreciate them rushing.

It sounds like so far anyway we all have similar thoughts on what chunked/chucked means - carelessly left, possibly thrown, etc. I was originally thinking G'ma might have had someone in mind and know this is what that person "might" do, just because she was so specific. This isn't anything against G'ma or anyone else. IMO I'm almost positive if she had any inkling who might be involved that LE knows about it.

I've always thought he saw different bikes. In any case, I don't take the second hand account that says TG saw some bikes into consideration. There must be some reason why it was not acknowledged and has only been referenced on FB and in comments on news stories.

Ted Gamerdinger of Waterloo, a bicyclist who said he often rides the Evansdale Nature Trail, has previously told The Courier he saw the two kids’ bikes on the trail at about 12:20 p.m., but no sign of the children.

This is what I'm referring to, he went to the media. It's not just FB rumor, it is in MSM.

LE has never referred to him or his sighting.

Here is what I think happened. Someone walking/jogging/biking at the lake saw the girls' bikes around 2:00. That witness, not knowing anything was amiss, went on his/her way.

Later that day, after the girls were reported missing, a volunteer fireman located the girls' bikes at around 4:00.

Once the witness heard about the girls, he/she called LE to report the sighting of the bikes at around 2:00. This witness must have been able to describe the bikes to the satisfaction of LE.

Soooo, Actually the girls bikes were sighted twice that day. Makes perfect sense.
I wonder if either of the girls kept a diary or journal? Maybe keeping thoughts about their daily activities. IMO

I really think this case is winding down and it will be soon when LE has their prime suspect.

I wish I could believe that, but there were so many times in the HaLeigh Cummings case we thought the same thing and look at how many years have pasted by and still we don't know anything or have a suspect named in that case. There have been too many children that have gone missing in this area this past year, some whom are presumed runaways, but for some reason my gut tells me there's more going on here than just 2 missing kids. Look at how many abduction attempts there have been and you cannot tell me they aren't tied in somehow. IIRC someone posted that a 14 year old whom is presumed a runaway called her mother from Chicago and told her mother she was being held against her will. People need to be looking at the big picture here and thinking outside the box. In my opinion we need to be focusing on the whole picture and not just these two little ones. Yes, they are a part of that picture, but only a portion of it. I personally think we are getting so wrapped up on these two little ones that we're missing some huge pieces of the puzzle. We need to step back and look at each one of these kids that are missing and the circumstances behind each one of them and then I think we'll see a pattern emerge here. Whoever was the dear sole that placed that list of missing kids from this area on the board a while back, would you be so kind as to post it again. We really need to look at each one of them along with the attempted abductions. I truly believe there is some sort of ring going on here and it has to do with human trafficking. This is my honest opinion at this point in time.

That's what I thought originally too, and what prompted me to ask the question. It sounds like Lyric's mountain bike's about adult sized and probably pretty heavy to be throwing around, and even Lizzie's smaller bike wouldn't exactly be easy. Throwing them say over the fence would explain bikes being "across the trail" but wouldn't explain "laying very neatly." (both reported in MSM, let me know if anyone wants a link - I know they've been posted here a number of times) Seems like that would make a heckuva lot of noise. But if the bikes were damaged and G'ma knew that at the time she did the interview, maybe that's part of why this thought came to her. IMO.

The more logical explanation to me from what we know so far is that someone - maybe the girls - rode the bikes there. IF the bikes were damaged though (which AFAIK hasn't been reported either way), maybe they were thrown over and then moved later by a good samaritan to get them off of the trail? Still doesn't explain the purse, though. Hmm... 'thinking' aloud.

This part of the quote from the same interview still confuses me too: "there`s another way to drive by the houses and get to the end of that
trail" Is she talking about Emery? Which houses? Which end of the trail? I can't tell. It's hard going by transcripts since I haven't been able to find the video for a lot of these. I re-read MCM's 'clarification' several times and I don't understand what she means so I didn't post it here, but it might be more helpful watching the video. Looking for the link but I know it was MSM and has been posted several times.

I think you have made an excellent point. I also would like to see the past posting of missing children.

To be fair, LE hasn't confirmed that the latest information is based on the C's account. It could be that they have another witness who has talked to LE but not the media.

I'm wondering if maybe they have enough witness sightings of the girls to fill in between Brovan Boulevard down to close to the lake and now they are hoping to fill in the last holes.

If I'm correct, it's possible that they have narrowed the search to just a few vehicles and the information from that last hole would let them focus on just one.

I hope, then, that you are correct!

I tend to be a "glass half full" gal, but it is hard not to feel positive and hopeful with these latest tidbits coming from LE.

It truly does seem as if the glut of information has served some purpose even if it was only to obscure valid clues and allow LE a screen behind which to solve this case.
