I believe both girls have an older brother. One went to the park with aunt Tammy and Gma to search.

That one kind of got brushed over by the mother when JVM asked her where they were. They were supposed to be a the park and when the parent's went looking they weren't there. So when JVM asked her where they were she just said something about them staying and playing at the park longer than they were supposed to. It was very confusing.

Rationalization and denial? They didn't know where their child was and they had to call the police. Tonight the story is that the girls were just playing in the park longer than was planned. :no: I am beginning to understand why the one mom was interview by LE for 11 hours.

I am not sure if this is what you mean (apologies in advance if not) but if you mean her actual facebook picture that is Selena Gomez and not her. She has looked like a 10-12 year old in every actual picture I have seen (which is 1 or 2 official ones posted).

In this instance the father said that Lyric called him on her mother's cell phone when she got home because he had been called about her being missing. So does she ever use her own phone? :waitasec:

Does Lyric's phone actually work as a phone, or does she just play games on it like her cousin does on hers? If it's just a "toy" she might have tired of it and not bothered to carry it.

Some pages back there was a media quote that said the bikes were left very close to an unlocked gate in the inner fence near the place where the rocks went out into the water. Could the girls have stopped, left their bikes, went through the gate and walked/climbed out onto the rocks? Rocks can be slimy/slippery - one could have fallen in and the other tried to help. If they were climbing on the rocks they would have kept their shoes on.

The dating site was apparently under her mother's name and listed age 34 I think but had the same photo as Lyric's fb pic. Also the activity on Lyric's fb page lead to this zoosk (?) account. This was all per previous posts.

Elizabeth has a 12 year old brother who was supposedly at home that day. Lyric has a 16 year old brother who was in Waterloo with his father.

Thanks. I wonder how much older. Teenagers? I'm not questioning the brothers at all. Just wondering what kind of friends they have. Did the girls hang out with their brothers and their friends, etc.

Mommy Misty more or less blew the whole incident off. She ended up saying something to effect of, oh they were at some park or something and time got away from them.......Misty had called daniel and he told misty to call le and report it, so thats when she reported it. but then the kids showed up at home so all was well.......

BBM, that's what they told mom. Who knows if that's really what they were doing.

I'm not a body language expert, but a lot of shoulder shrugging during the interview from the dad...is what I noticed.

I haven't watched the news, so I didn't see how the dad acted. But, that aside...lol...this post reminded me of an article I read recently. FWIW, I wanted to toss in my :twocents: for he evening.

I agree with a lot of what's been said about the family. We can't seem to pin down the timeline when Grandma last saw the girls. We don't have a clear & concise description of what the girls were wearing on Friday. How late was Lyric out when the police were called to help find her before? If my kid had done that they would have lost priveleges, bikes, etc, etc.

I get that these parents didn't deal with their children the way you or I might do. Maybe they should have paid closer attention to the clocks and the clothing they wore. It doesn't make them bad parents or bad people. I feel sure they love these girls and want them home. Maybe we'll find out someone known to the girls is responsible for them missing but for now, we don't know. I'm frustrated, angry and heartsick over this whole situation. And frankly, I'm glad my children are adults now or I'm not sure I could let them out of my sight after all I've seen & read the last few years.

I will never forget Jonathan Foster, the little boy who went missing on Christmas Eve. The parents seemed sketchy. It was easy to assume the stepfather was somehow responsible. In the end, it was Mona Nelson, a woman who Jonathan barely knew, who was responsible for his horrific death.

I have no idea what has happened to these girls. I just hope we can keep our focus on finding them rather than finding fault with the family.

Praying for Elizabeth & Lyric. I'm keeping my porch light on until they get home.
