Why are we thinking that the bodies were intact? The two sheets may simply cover the main part of the remains. Bones that may be scattered by animals would be marked with flags, I think, which may not be visible in these aerial photos. MOO

That's true. We will just have to wait and see.

One way the bodies could have been intact for a longer period is if they're wrapped in something -- garbage bags, carpet, tarp, sleeping bag, sheets, laundry bag, etc.

  • #323
On JVM tonight they said that the remains were easily identifiable just by looking at them.Either they were refrigerated or held somewhere.

How damn sad this is.

Would it have been easier to get the bodies to that spot via the lake or via the road? I know, it's just opinions, but I'm curious what others think.

Speculation: abducted from Lake by kayak (water transport) to murder location>vehicle to disposal site

Lieberman said he was told the bodies were visually identifiable and had not been out in the elements for 4-5months.
Perhaps the killer kept the bodies in a freezer, then when hunting season started, he needed the space?

Maybe the heat was coming on to the perp and they are trying to misdirect away from themselves.

Like if you believe the girls were never at the lake and the bikes a misdirection.

Thats what I'm thinking that he was feeling the heat, and needed to either kill or move the bodies.

I find it odd that Deputy Abben read from a piece of paper, had his hat on and kept his head down during the first part of the conference. Makes me think he wasn't sure he wasn't going to tear up during the press conference. This has to be hard on LE as well as the families. The girls were so close... yet so far.

John L:

-some clothing found

-were bodies kept somewhere?

Maybe a freezer and now that it is hunting season, someone needed that freezer. Are there any meat processors near?

It would have taken a bit of strength and stamina to reach that location with bodies, they had to be in relatively decent physical condition to do that, and it has to be someone with very local knowledge. That location seems like hunting knowledge. Perhaps a bowhunter, someone who would be able to carry a decent amount of weight over difficult terrain.

What about using a four wheeler? A wheelbarrow? A sled?
I would be interested in knowing if there were some tracks.
Then again, a child may not be that heavy to a grown adult.

I can't speak for anyone else and what you are saying could be very true. I think part of it, is the way they are reporting it in the media. Everything I've read/heard at the pressers refer to "bodies" and not "remains". In addition to how quickly the girls were identified. IMO

That's the way I feel...why?

If they were kept somewhere for a while, then trafficking is sadly back on the list of possibilities. Poor girls.

Sadly that and... retribution.

There is a meat processor directly connected to the case. :puke:

ETA: I don't believe we are allowed to discuss said person until they become a POI

Could LE be using the term "bodies" versus "skeletal remains" out of respect for the parents, relatives and friends/community? Just wondering.

Wow, if that's true that they hadn't been out there 4 to 5 months, this is sicker than it already is. Those poor girls if they weren't killed right away. smh

Excellent point. They would know by tissue damage if the tissue was frozen....well...if there is tissue still there...

:what: BBM. Wow, visually identifiable. This gets stranger and stranger.

I'm thinking someone with a truck and a four-wheeler. JMO
