Just got home from running errands. I came to WS because of another missing person case. I "liked" a Facebook page called "Missing" because of the same missing person. Elizabeth and Lyric came across my newsfeed on fb on the MISSING fb page, so I began following the case. My rambling leads me to the fact that I'm new to missing persons. Today when I ran errands I found myself looking everywhere for Elizabeth and Lyric. I live in rural Alabama and I found myself looking in people's vehicles for these girls. I looked in every store I went in. My goodness how 2 little girls so far away have me so worked up!! My heart breaks for their families!! :(

Aunt Tammy, Grandma, and E's brother went to the lake and asked people if they had seen them. One man said he saw them riding their bikes eastbound. Another kid said he didn't see them and he was fishing for a long time.

this is what i think le is nailing down by asking people to come forward if they were at the lake that day. maybe they have not located all of these people... they have to be sure that all of these folks are real (zanny) that kind of thing...all of this is jmho....

Wonder why they had to change locations for that? It took 3 minutes. And no news at all. Waste of everybody's time.

I don't know why they changed locations like that.

I do remember that the media has had problems getting their feeds out from the old location. So maybe they decided the problem could not be overcome at the old location and moved everyone to the school.

Thank you. I was honestly expecting the answer to be "no"!

I'm going to have to ponder a few thing's said in video interviews I have seen now......:waitasec:

Is Lyric's dad, and Misty's boyfriend 2 different people? Or the same man?

Hi all. This is my first-ever post here, but I have been following the entire thread. I happened to be watching Fox News (the national cable news channel, not the local affiliate) this morning when Misty, Wylma and Tammy were on. When it started, the 3 women were not aware they were on-air yet. Misty was giggling and being silly. Tammy actually reached across Wylma and swatted at her and said, "STOP IT." This part has been cut out of the interview that FoxInsider posted online. But I saw it with my own eyes.

Also, of note, Tammy and Wylma were wearing "Find Lyric & Elizabeth" shirts. Misty was wearing a cute summer tank top.

I don't know if I'm allowed to include my opinion on it, so if not, the mods can delete this next part -- At first I thought Misty was involved because of her casual and even happy demeanor. But when I saw her this morning, my opinion changed a bit. She almost looked like the cat that ate the canary -- like she knows something that the others didn't and is bursting at the seams about it. I now think that she was NOT involved, but maybe the FBI has given her information that lets her know Lyric is safe, and that is why she is happy. JMO.

:welcome:

Another polygraph? Why? Is that a usual practice to re-take a poly?:waitasec:

I don't know why MC had to take a second poly.

However, I do know that something that triggers a strong emotional response can cause an inconclusive on an innocent person.

I won't even get into my whole rant on how polygraphs are woo-woo pseudo-science.

Well, not much of it, anyway.

If everyone was that observant, a lot more missing children might be found in time! You never know how far away they could be. :wagon:

I feel certain I have said this numerous times in other missing children's cases and here I go again......how can it be this confusing still???????????
This just drives me nuts and I feel certain these parents are nuts as well...I just cannot believe LE would keep kids from their parents who are tortured enough knowing they are missing...and I can't see them telling one set of parents and not the other but hey what do I know?

I feel like I am back on the Haleigh Cummings/Hailey Dunn cases all over again!!!!!!!!!:banghead:

Respectfully, I disagree. This is not just local LE making comments in the press. A FEDERAL Bureau of Investigation spokesperson publically stating that they believe the girls are alive is very different from saying they have no evidence they are deceased. The FBI PR folks are experts in wording and statements. I do not think they are trying to appease a frantic public. They are saying what they can say, and they are extremely careful about that. This is why I think it is extraordinary that they have told us they believe the girls are alive. I do not believe that statement would have been made if they did not have the girls somewhere safe already. While I understand and embrace Marc Klass's advice that hope is everything to the family of someone missing, I do not believe it is the job of the FBI to make public statements just for that goal, nor do I think they would do so.

Gosh, I hope I am right :please:

I am in total agreement with you. The FBI would not make that statement to appease anyone. They had good reason to make the statement that they believe the girls are alive. It is unprecedented for them to make such a bold statement which leads me also to believe there is something important they know which they cannot say. I wish I could have seen the presser today. I will look for a link to see if I can assess the demeanor of those who spoke. You can read a lot in how someone speaks, sometimes more than what they say. And IMEO, the spokesperson for the FBI had the demeanor of someone who was sure, not someone out to placate. :moo:

Welcome!! Wow - interesting. She has not been wearing the pink shirts at all - at least I do not think she has, has she? Very strange behavior - and if that is not the case (that they gave her good news), she might just be plain crazy. I have no clue.

Lyric's dad is Daniel Morrissey. Misty is alleged to have a boyfriend by a different name, but we have not had this information confirmed by MSM or by a verified local. Also, Misty's alleged boyfriend has not been named a POI or suspect so we can't discuss him here.

Maybe no names are given because they're juveniles?

BBM
I agree the FBI would not do this unless they had probable cause to believe someone close to these children played an integral role in their disappearance.

LOL. I think what you do on your free time is up to you. You just won't be able to share anything you find with us here. At least not for now.

Their names are listed...just didn't want to post them here if they aren't involved....just thought it weird that there are three booked today with no charges listed, are on no bond hold, and one has no name at all...
