I thought someone asked if the girls were set to testify against anyone in Morrissey's drug trial. Anyone else hear that?

this could be a really important aspect to this case...this other trial could be another reason le is so tight-lipped about everything...

Not 100% confident the girls were on their bikes at the lake

Deflecting question on whether or not LE are closer to finding the girls 11 days after they went missing
by Chris Essig - Courier via mobile 4:11 PM

I believe this reporter is giving his opinions above:

I didn't hear Abben say he is not 100% confident...

"Deflecting" ---that's an opinion: thought he was reporting, so we don't have to transcribe or listen to the tape over and over again!

I'm asking for confirmation as so much seems to be shifting in this case...one minute it's x time, the next it's a different time altogether...

Originally I had believed that the last confirmed sighting LE felt was 100% credible was via videotape at 12.15 when they were actually riding down the street.

Then TG reported he swerved around the ALREADY DUMPED bikes five minutes later...as I explained in an earlier post, I'm not sure which news source is the most credible from way down under so I'm asking for confirmation from local posters.

If these times are correct, there is no way on Gods earth the girls had enough time to ride to the lake, dump their bikes, meet their abductor, be snatched and driven away without a trace (of even an abduction vehicle), all in five minutes.

IMO.

:moo:

Totally agree. It's not physically possible. The last known sighting of the GIRLS is officially 12:15 by the surveillance camera. I still have a hard time understanding why no one saw them riding all the way through town. I personally believe that they were picked up closer to home, and the bikes and purse were dumped at the lake. I've ridden these trails, and you don't go that far without meeting someone.

From above-linked KWWL article:

'Cook-Morrissey, 34, said she was told she passed Monday's test after last week's came back inconclusive. She said the examinations were stressful for her since she has anxiety disorder, which made it hard to stay calm and may have contributed to the earlier inconclusive result.

Cook-Morrissey said Monday's test and a meeting afterward with investigators over doughnuts went a long way toward easing tensions between her family and the police. "You could say we made peace today," she said.'

Did I miss it when I read it? Where did it say that they pulled the dogs off the trail?

Is there a timeline somewhere? TIA

i was under the impression that a person doesnt actually pass/fail a poly... many questions are asked and each question can indicate deception... anyone around that knows more about this???

He's talking at the speed of a New Yorker!

-the girls were at Lafayette and 2 bikes were found at lake and now the girls are missing

-evidence at lab makes them believe the girls r alive

How thoroughly were the woods searched by dogs? Did they go in really deep? Maybe they should refocus this search. In case of the worst case scenario, it is important to look up and watch the birds btw. I don't believe this to be the case, but now is the time to be watching if you are in the area. I'm getting worried they'll never find them. I pray that they do, of course. Moo

If someone shows no deception when answering questions they are said to have passed.
If someone shows deception on more than a couple questions
they're usually characterized as failing.

Hi Sarx...good to see you

What effect would the girls swimming in a chlorinated pool for six weeks prior to their disappearance have on the search dogs Re: the scent of each child

The pool was a public one and it was "probably" heavily chlorinated...jmo

Mothers actual words were:
We have spent the last six weeks at lake swimming, Lake, we`ve gone to Bern`s Pool a lot. So we`ve been swimming, I mean, almost daily for the last six weeks.

Thanks

In a forest environment the dog should have been able to follow a long trail - the only time my dogs could not follow a long trail was in the city when the subject was put in a vehicle. At the forest location, was there a road where the girls could have been in a car or truck? Usually dogs will circle when the subjects are put in a car but some dogs can be trained to follow scent even in a car but that takes special training unless the scent if very fresh.

My dogs ID scent from inside a vehicle when the person was in the car and the scent pooled heavy on a spot and then my dogs ID the parking space, but just driving away with the girls means no heavy scent pools.

Scent will stay for about one month in dense moist environment so the dogs can track really well in this type of situation - so what happened? why did theypull the dogs off?

Yep been following missing person cases for over 25 years.
I know LE doesn't reveal LDT results.
Point being......
Someone who took one told the press TODAY that they passed--
or thought they passed. :)

Yep, that is the way it works. LE never tells the results of LDTs.

The only way we know the results is if the one taking it speaks out in the media.

Like Steve Greone did when he said they told him he failed a part of his polygraph and he couldnt understand why. The police later on said it was because Steve was so emotional at the time and he had nothing to do with the kidnapping of his daughter and son.

The Lamars also commented on passing their LTD but if the ones taking them dont speak out... LE isnt going to divulge the results even if they passed.

May be because LE knows LDT arent admissable in court anyway and the results can be 'iffy'.

IMO

I believe Aunt Tammy made that statement on Nancy Grace.
Hope that's what you are referring to.

Statements like what? He is relating what his dogs are capable of doing, and the rest is opinion based on experience. Links are not required for that.
(I am assuming poster is male... I could be wrong. Sorry!)

no snark intended but they imo all say that...

I think they say whatever helps their investigation. In the case of little Breeann Rodriguez, they told the parents they failed and the perp was a neighbor living 5 or 6 houses down.

It's just an investigative tool, so they can lie about it and the reason I don't give it too much merit when the subject releases the what they were told. imo
