A very good question. Keep looking and you will find a lot more.

Oh and by the way, for those who have not read every post, TB might not be law abiding. http://www.state.ia.us/dentalboard/Orders/BertchFindingsMay08.pdf

Well Gma could be confused but that video camera would have caught all the vehicles coming and going if they were getting to the house down that street. Now if they always come in at Sipple Ave off Lafayette then LE have got nothing regarding the adults, the vehicles and the search I suppose.

Labelled: Interview with Lyric's Mother Misty Morrissey. Has Grandma W beside MM being interviewed on July 20th, but Grandma W is silent:

http://www.kwwl.com/category/130142/video

The video you r describing is the one LE wants in its' entirety.

When I click on your link I get a news report about 3 men turning themselves in for kidnapping someone 3 years ago in Iowa.

The link is not about this case.

Yes, I see...still have it open in another window, and that was the link. Must have taken it down.

Maybe Tammy is directionally challenged too.

OT: I remember as a child having a very difficult time with the concept that if something was east when I was facing north, it was still to the east if I was facing south.

I suspect that information never did find its way to my subconscious brain.

the thing that I am taking from the video of mcm and wcon the 19th was her mention of cedar valley. She states that she hopes the search will expand past the cedar valley ..and then she states that she doesnt think they have looked there yet ..and she stumbles a bit and says but she says we talked about that last nite I am not sure if LE has looked there yet but maybe they will.. ?????

what?????

so maybe Le needs to look at cedar valley

If they are being held by someone they don't know, then to them this is a kidnapping situation. If they are released to a public location, then they can describe but do not have information on who their kidnapper(s) is?

And I know the bank acct was set up within days of the disappearance and persons were on the FB actively encouraging people to donate money to the families for gas, cell phone bills, expenses etc because they obviously weren't working. Well the majority of them obviously weren't working before this either. :waitasec:

What I mean is...how does anyone expect to get away with a stunt like this? Any monies one collected would be a part of a crime.

No one should ever ask me for directions because I don't know my left from my right, north, south, est or west. LOL You would have to watch my hands to see which way to turn. I say right but point left. It drives my hubby crazy.

Look at the Anthony's in little Caylee's missing case and The Haleigh Cummings case. I read the Anthony's made over 200k in donations and Haleighs case was over 100k. They both probably took in more but both families were dishonest about many things so who knows? Maybe these people set this entire thing up for donations. To someone with drug problems this may have looked like an easy way to get money.

You can't apply logical thinking to the brain of a meth head. Not saying that's what happened here. Just in general. These people aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer to begin with, throw in years of meth use and you can't assume they think rationally at all.

We are having a severe thunderstorm right now, tornado watch, etc... I hope the girls are safe and not outside. (sounds strange for me to say that, I know they are probably not safe considering the circumstances, I just know how storms scare little ones. I have two girls 10 & 8 and live not far from Waterloo) anyway praying they are safe as possible...

All we've gotten down here (near I-80 not too far from Newton) is strong wind. That's it, no lightning, no thunder, NO RAIN.

This is not going to be a good year for Iowa farmers... and how go the farmers go the rest of the Iowa economy.

Wow! Google maps says Cedar Vally is 1 hour and 44 minutes from Evansdale.
Much, much further than the 12 mile search radius.

So who would they know in Cedar Valley?

Just catching up and not sure if this was mentioned but does the Gma say in this video that Heather and Drew came home at 12:30pm and that's when she and the 12yr old grandson went out looking?

I thought that Heather didn't get home from an appointment until 2pm? :waitasec:

Why does it seem like none of the stories from that day match up?

http://www.wgrz.com/video/1742500427001/1/Missing-Iowa-girls-Lyric-Cook-Morrisseys-grandma-talks

I would need to listen to it again. I wonder if Drew went with Heather to a doctor's appt that day and they did get home at 12:30 - but then Heather left to run errands. At that time Drew watched the kids, and Grandma drove around from 12:30 - 1:30 looking for them. Then she calls Misty at 2 (at work?) and she comes over and about 2:20-2:30 Heather drives up and says she can't find them (I think she looked for 45 mins) so she says she going to go the the PD. Grandma left at some point to go meet Tammy at Grandma's house in Waterloo. At some point Drew calls them and says to get back and help look so they come back 'right away' and pick up E's brother and head to Meyers Lake at approx 2:45. That is where Tammy says a man said he saw them at 2:30 heading east, I mean west, uh oh what was it again?!

What was her shift that day? I've heard that she came home from work and that she was called at work because the girl's were missing and left to go to Heather's? :waitasec:

She left for work at 8:30. She was called by Grandma at 2. I do not know what she did at that point because no one has said. Don't think she was at the PD with Heather. Don't think she was at lake with Grandma, Tammy, and E's brother (because they didn't mention it when they were on tv). I believe Drew was watching the kids. When did Dan get on the scene? His mother brought him to the lake?

I don't know. Might have seemed like a good plan to someone who is desperate about something?

I'm at a loss too because I don't think the family is involved but there are so many strange things and discrepancies surrounding this whole case.

But what happened to the story that Misty came home around 1:30pm after she got off of work and told Gma to leave and go do her thing with Tammy and she would wait for the girls to come home and bring Lyric home with her? And then when Heather got home at 2pm the girl's still weren't home and she decided to go to the police station? And then Drew called the Gma to tell her to come back so she came back with Tammy?

I'm so confused. :waitasec:

Ok, what I saw was a person. Moving from left to right behind the little barn shaped shed and the white trailer. It is almost impossible for me to screen print. I might have some video software I can put it through. Here is my screen shot.

View attachment 24986

Yes! At first it looked like the person was on a bike or motorcycle but now I see someone that may have ducked down and then back up at the very, very end of the video. The bikes are no longer on the screen when the third image appears.

Where is Cedar Valley?

I believe it's a name for the general Waterloo/Cedar Falls/Evansdale/Gilbertsville, etc, area.

That's the part by Tammy (same NG transcripts):

Tammy
When Mom -- I had met Mom at her house because we had had some plans. She had originally left. When Misty showed up to pick up Lyric, and Mom said, you know, The girls have been off and it`s been a little bit too long, but you know, you guys need to go find your kids, Tammy and I have some other things that we`re doing, and Tammy`s at the house.

So Mom came and got me. We got a phone call back from Drew (ph), Elizabeth`s father, saying, You guys need to get back here and help. So me and Mom jumped in the car, and right away we came back. Kelly -- we picked up Kelly, the 12-year-old son, and we started going to all these places that they`d already checked.

I said immediately to my mom, I said, Take me to Meyers Lake, take me to Meyers Lake. This is approximately a quarter to 2:00 when I asked -- or a quarter to 3:00 when I asked Mom to take me to Meyers Lake.

ETA: So if Grandma called Misty at 2. And Grandma looked from 12:30 - 1:30 - what time did Grandma leave to go meet Tammy. The original plan was that Grandma and Lyric would be leaving at 1:30 and Grandma said Lyric knew that.
