I thought Misty got off work at 2 pm and drove to grandmas?

Hello! Just caught up, been following for days but never posted. In case you are still wondering, I am 99.9% positive MC works at the Casey's in Elk Run Heights, which is, IMO, too far for them to bike, so them visiting her is unlikely! I am from Elk Run (live in Waterloo now) and my parents still live there, so I go there (Casey's) quite often. Just wanted to throw that out there!

:wagon:

Imoo, that video is much clearer than the other one I saw.<snipped for space>

I THINK this one might be the same video feed and/or darn near the same type of camera but just shifted a little and not so zoomed in. But I agree, the angle is better and I thought it was way clearer too. It reminds me more of the upgraded cams I've seen where you at least have a chance of catching something meaningful.

I have watched and watched...I don't see this? Where? When?
Ok, I see. Slight darkness on far side of trailer after both girls pass?

Something to keep in mind is that video is from Friday, early afternoon. Regular business hours, in other words.

I think there's a good chance that if that tape shows a person (I've watched it a few times and can't decide), that it was an employee at one of the businesses on that strip.

Imoo, that video is much clearer than the other one I saw.
First child on bike seems to be riding a bigger bike and going faster.
Second child, further behind than I thought, riding slower than 1st rider, but still fast.
I think someone is behind or beside far left building.....someone barely visible moves. Imhoo

You think? Maybe it's too imedded in my mind but I see some sort of blurry motion that seems to be someone walking first, then Elizabeth (smaller girl), then Lyric (older girl/bike), then a super brief moment of another larger looking person.

If that smaller bike in front ISN'T Elizabeth, who is it? Or if that larger bike in back ISN'T Lyric, who is it? Gah...

Yes! At first it looked like the person was on a bike or motorcycle but now I see someone that may have ducked down and then back up at the very, very end of the video. The bikes are no longer on the screen when the third image appears.

The one that way stood out to me was the one shortly before the girls showed up, similar figure as they went around the corner though I might be missing the "third image" entirely?

Why?! She stated that she just saw them ride their bikes by Lederman's at 12:15 (Verified by security Cameras). Why would she be concerned at 12:30? And she doesn't have to leave until 1:30. So why start looking for them at 12:30?

What if Grandma C has been telling the truth all along? That Elizabeth usually stuck close to home when she was biking.

If that was true, then Grandma C might have seen the cousins at 12:15 pm and then glanced out again around 12:20 pm, expecting to see them.

She doesn't see them at 12:20 pm, so she starts keeping a continuous eye on the street. Maybe she calls them, no response. Five more minutes go by, another five and it's clear that the girls must have gone further than they were allowed to go.

So Grandma C tells Elizabeth's 12 year old brother to keep an eye on his two younger sisters, hops in her car and starts looking for the girls.

In other words, maybe Grandma C really did keep a close eye on the girls (contrary to what many posts in these threads have posited). And when they were gone longer than could be explained by a zip around the block, she got worried and started looking for the girls.

Welcome to WS from a Hawkeye! One with many fond memories of concerts at the Unidome.

Your information about Misty working at the Elk Run Casey's has been posted in previous threads by other locals.

Was she starting to say, "When Misty had found the bikes" -- ?!?!

Also, I'm sure who really called whom and when will be sorted out by phone records. And their phone records darn well better match their stories!

(By the way, how do these people all afford cell phones when NONE OF THEM HAVE JOBS?! Drew is the only person in the entire [family] who seems to have a job! Oh, and Misty, but her job is new.)

Word in square brackets edited by me.

A really big family plan? (just kidding)

I think both grandmas, WC and VW, both look like they may be old enough to be retired and hence drawing a pension and/or SS.

And is Aunt TB employed or unemployed? I haven't seen anything in msm that gives an indication and I'm not inclined to sleuth her as per WS TOS. If anyone has a msm link that mentions her employment status, please post it.

What I mean is...how does anyone expect to get away with a stunt like this? Any monies one collected would be a part of a crime.

I believe Kamille was responding to my post about my husband's idea about what may be going on here. I try to be careful about discussing anyone who is not a named suspect or a named POI so I didn't really elaborate. But, I just wanted to say now that he wasn't thinking or saying that he thought the motive would be money. He was saying he thought the motive was to join the girl(s) later on, at some point, wherever they are.

I see more than motion. I see a figure.

Yeah.. me too, I was just trying to be optimistic. I see a figure too especially the more I look at it. If I had the good vision I used to have I bet I could peg a shirt color or at least style along with time, stance but now I'm lucky to be able go guess heights. Ugh. I want to think the best and understand you want to think the best TOO so none of us want to think the worst. But my vision's not THAT bad and this is bothering me so much. :(

How can I love and want to protect these girls I've never even met so much? I so hope they're found alive, safe, and better yet unharmed... SOON!

Still catching up on this thread but that tiny image in the video has been making me feel sick for hours now. :(

I know I'm jumping around sorry. Hard to catch up on such a long thread!

A big thanks nikb ! It made things much clearer for me! Honestly, on the other one, I couldn't even tell that the moving objects were bikes. Lololol I saw moving......blobs.

Whoa. Saw that on FB and was shocked. Is this the co def whose attorney had said he had a plea deal with no jail time worked out so DM's testimony against him would not hurt him?

Yes. So why not show up?
