I read/heard Heather had an appointment and I also heard she was running errands.

I read/heard Grandma Cook and Aunt Tammy had plans, and I also heard they had errands.

Nothing confirmed afaik.

And yet Misty actually HAS a confirmed alibi but everyone already has her tied to the stake with a box of matches ready to go. Hmmmm. :(

Police can't say why they strongly believe the girls are alive. But if this guy that didnt show up for court was a person of interest, maybe we will hear about it now because he is wanted. Maybe they have been looking for him to talk to but was unable to locate him and was waiting to see if he showed up for court? Just a thought.

I hope if police think this guy is questionable to the case that LE post this picture http://www.bhcso.org/Print.aspx?o=warrant&id=2546 and ask if anyone saw him that day. JMO

TB says she hopes the search goes to Ceder valley but why not Waterloo which is closer?

http://wcfcourier.com/news/evansdale_search/

great site with every local news story & a map with details; click on each number to get a timeline.

still trying to get a timeline of what wc, mm and the rest claim to be their whereabouts.

It's strange that several family members were at Meyers Lake @ 2:45, were (supposedly) told by a man that he had seen the girls there, but not a single one of them went around the trail to look for them.

I know Ollipop said that you can see most of the trail from the parking area, but I think the natural response would be to run over and check out the parts of the trail that aren't visible.

Did they just wait around in the parking area until LE found the bikes @ 3:58?

Seems like they were going out of their way to make sure the bikes were found by someone else. MOO

I really don't think this has anything to do with DM's trial but LE has to check this guy out now he is a no show. Problem is, IF it was him, he is not about to talk because now he is in even more hot water.

That said I still believe its either a grooming situation on the net or an opportunistic killer.

I guess it depends on which timeline you go by. She has an alibi for the morning of the 13th. If WC is correct, Misty met at EC house @ 1:30 because the girls were missing. No alibi after 1:30 that we are aware of.

She and others would not be tied to the stake if their stories didn't keep changing. They keep adding fuel to the bonfire every time they open their mouths. :moo::moo::moo:

Waterloo is part of the Cedar Valley, which is what she was referencing, not a town called Cedar Valley. This would include Waterloo/Cedar Falls, Waverly, etc.

The Cedar Valley refers to Waterloo/Cedar Falls/Evansdale. Not an actual town, just a named for the whole area.

Have the pressers ended or just less frequent now?

Sorry guys for getting behind. What subpoena is being talked about? I missed something. My apologies.

Yes, I think you are right. I re-listened to the clip and she said the Cedar Valley. She wanted the search to expand past the Cedar Valley.

Thanks for correcting me.

What if Grandma C has been telling the truth all along? That Elizabeth usually stuck close to home when she was biking.

If that was true, then Grandma C might have seen the cousins at 12:15 pm and then glanced out again around 12:20 pm, expecting to see them.

She doesn't see them at 12:20 pm, so she starts keeping a continuous eye on the street. Maybe she calls them, no response. Five more minutes go by, another five and it's clear that the girls must have gone further than they were allowed to go.

So Grandma C tells Elizabeth's 12 year old brother to keep an eye on his two younger sisters, hops in her car and starts looking for the girls.

In other words, maybe Grandma C really did keep a close eye on the girls (contrary to what many posts in these threads have posited). And when they were gone longer than could be explained by a zip around the block, she got worried and started looking for the girls.

I don't see anything wrong with grandmas story, either. She did what most babysitters and parents do. You dont have your children in sight 24/7. You let then ride bikes around the neighbors, they check in occasionally, you look out the windows to check. Gramma also had 3 other kids there. It's perfectly understandable that they left the house sty 11:30, and I thought she saw then about 12:15 across the street, behind Ledermans. Then when they didn't come in, she was probably concerned/pissed, and went to look for them. My 11 year old daughter and I had this conversation last night. I reminded her that I don't watch her walk to her friends house. She had a certain amount of leeway. But, if she goes to her friends at the end of the street, she has to let me know. I have had to drive down there to check where she is before (hey, it's a long block!). So no, I dont think theres anything wing with what gramma did or didn't do.

That all might be true. But what makes me wonder is that they said the girls asked to go bike riding at 11:30 am, and were last seen at 12:15 behind the BignTall. So where were they from 11:30 to 12:15? Were they in sight of grandma for that 45 minutes?

Ohhh okay now that makes sense to me. But with the way TB "had a feeling" and bikes were found there. I am not sure i would want any input on her thoughts. She has my hinker dinker going.

"The video also matches the police timeline. Investigators say the girls left the home to ride their bikes shortly after noon July 13. The camera's clock shows it was 12:11 p.m. when they rode by. "

From The Washington Post on July 24th:

"David Mullin, a defense attorney for Jason Stolfus, who was arrested with Morrissey and faces the same charges, said the prosecutor told him Morrissey’s plea agreement “fell through.” He said police reports show Morrissey implicated his client in crimes after both were arrested in December. But he said Stolfus would not have a motive to take the children because he has been offered a favorable plea deal in which he would likely avoid prison.”

If he had such a great plea deal set up, why is he a no-show?

I could have sworn that we were told 11:30 in earlier reports. This is baffling.
