I am sorry to say this, but after two weeks, I am not sure LE knows much more than when they started on this case.

I couldn't disagree more, as of the last 24 hours.

I think they're going to bring these girls home soon...hopefully, alive and well.

Wait a minute...she works at a Casey's right? (whatever that is).

I thought it had been decided she worked at the OTHER Caseys, across town, nowhere near where the girls had biked?

Was her workplace located on the path from grammas to the lake, or not?

We aren't sure. What I do know for sure is that as of yesterday, she is back at work. So someone could always drop in to verify which one she works at and say hi. :-)

I think they have many POI's to go thru. Takes time to fully eliminate them. jmo

Well, I hope you are right. I kind of see this latest move to get the recordings as grasping at straws.

I was thinking that too. Someone want to stop by Casey's? I think a local confirmed she does work at the one on hollye's map. I thought she might work at the one on River Forest since she said it was close. She worded it two different ways though - I think one time she said a couple blocks, or a couple miles, or a couple minutes. Whatever it was she said - seemed to conflict with the other thing she said.

I think they are focussing on the family and friends.

It doesn't help that they are not cooperating. :maddening:

My theory is they met the perp for a boat ride, where the bikes were found is at the east end of the lake along a very closed in tree lined area. I feel it was someone who lives on that small lake. There is a small boat ramp where the bikes where found. I feel he said, "just leave your purse, we will be back".

SBM

If the girls went for a ride on the boat there, I think they may have been sitting around for a while waiting for the boat to get there and just forgot about the purse in their excitement. I can't think of any reason Elizabeth would have been convinced to (or even needed to) leave her purse sitting in a place where any number of strangers could pass by. It's very possible that any scent the dogs found leading into the woods was also just from them goofing around while waiting.

God every time you turn around there's another question or a contradiction.

So per whitepages, that Greenbrier address is where Aunt T lives. It was stated Lyric went missing with T's daughter at Greenbrier. Spokeo shows at some point JW also had that same address. Does he live there now? I show two other people living there per whitepages.

Which park were they walking to near there?

http://www.whitepages.com/search/FindNearby?street=618+greenbrier+rd&where=waterloo,+ia

Per the county assessors link - the address on Greenbrier is owned by the first two people listed on whitepages. So T could live with them or is renting.

Going back to what someone said about all the abductions now in Iowa, a teenager in Ames was sexually assaulted by some men in the woods yesterday. I was sitting outside sunbathing a few days ago ( I live outside of a small town) and heard a vehicle pull up in the field next to me, thinking that it was just the farmer who owns that land checking his crops, I didn't look over my shoulder. But after awhile I got this wierd feeling and peered over my should and this strange man standing outside his white truck was watching me. Freaked me out so I went in my house and looked out the window and he still just stood there and then got in his truck and left.

Geez! I never thought I'd feel so safe living right smack in the center of Los Angeles! I wouldn't even want to drive through Iowa at this point! :-)

There was a gentleman who regularly runs around the lake. He didn’t see either one of the girls ... but he did see their bikes and he was able to pinpoint the time of the day that he saw the bikes. Small details like this are really important to the investigation,” she said.

Is this referring to TG the guy on the bike, or is there another person that confirm the time the bikes were there?

I think its because we in Iowa (especially) country dwellers and small towners are easy target and they know it. This world is getting crazy.

Assuming the purse and bikes were not left there by the perp as an intentional move, I would think that it must have been some kind of an emergency that caused them to leave the items behind.
I am thinking something along the lines of someone calling for help, or trying to chase down a "lost" dog, which inspired the girls to drop their stuff and come help. Other possibilities include the injured person routine, although I am not sure how common that is these days.

Welcome Sweettart...I agree with you. She has an interesting choice of words. IMO

TG says he swerved past the bikes at 12.20.

No one else so far seems to have confirmed the bikes until they were found at 4 by a firefighter who was searching, which is a worry to me as it was a lovely day and plenty of people were about.

They were near a highway...some sort of emergency like someone they know saying, "quick, drop your bikes, we'll come back for them later, come with me, gramma's been rushed to hospital, the car's over here" or some such thing?
