Thanks so much. So many are nit picking about times.
All my clocks are different, all of them. I put them forward to give me extra time in the morning. Car clock is off too.

:moo:

I think the FBI have probably gone around and actually measured how far in front/behind EST these electronic clocks are, added or subtracted the appropriate minutes, and come up with 12.15 through cross checking. They can calculate exact time of day from other things as well, like shadow fall in the video.

I assume. :waitasec:

Just a thought re: the dark eye(s). This is something the make-up people in the raw footage may have remarked on, and something may have been said in that regard or a comment made by gma perhaps about how she got it. In addition, wasn't that around the time the order was tightened on DM regarding when he could be around her? Maybe she was wired when she was in the hotel with him, and LE feared for her safety, beat on the door, and separated them to "interrogate" them or "coerce" them. Maybe she is cooperating. Moo

My husband is from Iowa. When we first met (in another state) he had a boat. I couldn't believe there were any lakes in Iowa. Being from a South Atlantic state I naively thought there was no water in the middle of the country. I made him get out the atlas and show me where there were lakes - ha!

If I ever go to Iowa, I don't think I'll be going anywhere near a lake.

Thinking about this too, however IMHO, paddle boats aren't like regular boats. You really have to work to get those things moving, you know? It might be tough for one person to paddle the boat and keep two other people on the boat against their will. Just makes me think since they've said both girls know how to swim (and have gone swimming in ponds/lakes) that chances are they might have been able to jump off of the paddle boat. Plus, many paddle boats aren't that big. I saw a photo in an earlier thread of a paddle boat, but do we know what type of model the boat was? Just wondering aloud and all just IMHO, of course.

We don't know that they were taken against their will. They could have gone willingly, my concern is the dogs never tracked to the paddle boat.

Has anyone either located Dan's accomplice JS, or identified the dead man in the lake 80 miles away?

No and no. At least that I can find on the internet. MOO

If they went in a paddle boat - my opinion is they knew the person offering them a ride.

According to the family the dogs went to the bikes, jetty and wooded area. The LE stopped searching and were going to discuss what the dogs did.

So they were not given the chance to go to the paddle boats.

Do we know who owns the paddle boat and where it is kept? It is possible the girls took it out for a ride? Didn't the owners say it had been used but they hadn't used it?

RE agent needs a better camera. I can't make out what that is.
Although....I had cataract surgery yesterday, that might explain it, ya think?

No you're right, those pics are terrible! I kept thinking my computer wasn't fully refreshing or something.

That is an unconfirmed rumor. We don't know who these people are or if they really exist. (I think. Could be wrong.)

I still think the whole paddle boat thing is a shiny object. ("Hey, (insert name of your favorite real suspect), we aren't onto you. Nope! We're looking for a paddle boat....")

I can remember from several years at rented cottages on lakefront property that it is quite amazing how you are able to hear conversations going on from people out on the lake in their boats or splashing about in the lake. I guess my point being, if the girls were out on the lake and felt they were in any kind of danger and called for help, their voices would have been heard across the lake. Just IMO of course always.

Maybe I'm the only one who didn't know about this site I'm going to link up but I'll pass it along anyway. I found it accidentally last night while Googling something unrelated to this forum. Just for the heck of it I typed in the Greenbrier Rd address. Although it's not 100% accurate it does show some past and current names of people that's lived there. Just another sleuthing tool for those that might not know about it.

Very interesting site, thanks!! Off topic for this thread but for fun I looked up my own address. I bet most of us did. :) I knew we were only the third owners of our 50+ year old house which is unusual. Again totally off topic story but in short our elderly neighbor who passed away a couple of years ago watched our house being built in the 50s. He knew first names but could never remember last names of the original owners/builders, but Spokeo had them! That was a really cool find. As you said it's not 100% accurate... the info for the past 10 years or so is sketchy at least for our house, but the rest of the previous residents appear to be right.

Sorry back on track and back to catching up and hoping for good news, but thanks again for sharing that Spokeo link!

Does this park have any park officials/rangers that are on foot patrol or motorized vehicles? Sometimes I think about the girls going into those bushes to smoke and wonder if that's why their scent was there. Were any cigarette butts found in those bushes. If that grainy video is E and L, they were riding very fast. Just thinking.

Totally MOO, so please don't flame me....I had spent years volunteering with adolescents from turbulent homes (not in care of bio parents). One thing to remember is that these parents who have so many demons of their own (addiction, criminal charges, poverty, turbulent relationships of their own, mental/psych issues) often have somewhat 'removed' reactions to their own children's issues. I think it is because they are so consumed in their own drama they have little capacity for the plight of their children's as well.

Again, my observation/opinion only....

Thanks for sharing. I agree especially if they've essentially been 'removed' from most of the child's life. IMO...

Perhaps Jason is the body in the lake.

Are there just a lot of lakes in Iowa?
There are quite a few, yes. Up in northwest Iowa, there are /a lot/ of glacial lakes like up in Minnesota. South and east, the lakes tend to be more river reservoirs, but natural lakes can be found as well.

The only model of paddle boat with which I'm familiar is the two-seaters where people sit side by side and paddle. I don't recall there being room for much else, even a third person. If the alleged paddle boat's occupant was by himself, his boat couldn't have been much bigger than what I'm envisioning for the reason zoebella said.

Any more news? I found someone on another site saying it was reported on KWWL. I didn't find anything on the KWWL site. Did any locals watch the news?

PADdleboater .... They did say they found the people with the paddleboat on the KWWL news, but they said someone had used thier paddleboat!

End quote.

THANKS so much!

I can tell you that it is VERY inaccurate, especially for sleuthing. It list my house as being occupied by 4 people. Me in my current name. My Mom who has never lived here. Me, in my maiden name which I don't ever use, and last, but not least, my ex-husband who has never been to this house and in fact doesn't even know where it is. We were divorced years before I bought this place. So it is definitely misleading!

I don't know how much stock I'd place into the spoke reverse address lookup. I checked our address and we aren't listed as residents and there are number of people listed. The previous owners bought the property and built the house.

I agree. Similar experience looking up my own info.

My original post.......

Please understand this was not reported in MSM. Just someone repeating something they read. Still hoping someone can tell us if KWWL really said this.
