I've done a lot of cycling in my life, but I would never stop and move or touch someone else's bikes. That just doesn't seem like the sort of thing that is okay to do. However, if some good hearted person stopped and moved the bikes, that good hearted person would have seen fit to come forward and give that information to police. I don't believe that happened ... because I don't believe that there's a kind hearted soul that cycled around the park, considerately moved the bikes and then inconsiderately decided to remain silent. That simply doesn't add up.

I think it is possible that a child may have done it and not realised that moving the bicycles had any importance. Maybe a kid whose parent was back at the pavilion parking area and had been given permission to ride the lake U around and back again.

I know that as an adult, it would have seemed safe to me because there wasn't any obvious way to get on or off the trail that wasn't visible.

The possibility that the bicycles may have been re-positioned in place hasn't been explicitly mentioned in media reports, so far as I know. To adult sleuthers, it's an obvious question

But to a kid? I don't know. I think a kid might do it and not think of it as anything unusual.

I think maybe he is addicted to meth, which he can't do in prison. It would be like facing rehab when someone wasn't ready, but worse.

He probably made an idiotic legal decision because he couldn't bear the thought of jail (and no meth!) happening right then, imho.

He just needs more time and he'll kick it and fix up everything else too... those sorts of addict thoughts.

Got thinking about the videos that LE are asking for. They say they want videos of Gma and /or Misty. So to me it sounds like it doesn't matter if they are together or not in the videos. Therefore the video of Misty , Tammy and Gma would be one they are requesting too, wouldn't it? With TB tapping Misty, makes me wonder if that video is one that got LE wanting all the raw footage. However LE are only asking for certain dates. I am so confused.

Walking out on one is. So is refusing to talk any longer with investigators. This is common knowledge. LE said certain members were refusing to cooperate for a time and that it was a distraction to the case.

Respectfully, can you link a msm source that anyone walked out on a polygraph? All I recall is that DC walked out of an interrogation.

As I understand it, DC and MC said they were not going to cooperate any longer. That lasted two days and they both decided to start cooperating again.

I know both of them. They were actually engaged. I don't know when they broke up, but they usually break up and then get rigtht back together. They've been together off and on since 2008. CP is actually a distant cousin, but I haven't seen her or JC in about a year. And I don't believe either of them lives in Evansdale, they live in Waterloo.

The Cedar River is running low this summer and LE has already searched it (but I don't have a cite handy).

As many people who use the Cedar River for recreation, I can't imagine their bodies would go unnoticed for this long if LE somehow missed finding them.

If somebody and sombody are working with somebody else...somebody else might have been the "attorney" that advised the two somebodys not to cooperate with local LE, because somebody else might be in control of this whole thing.

In that theoretical case, the other somebodies may be vacationing for now at Disneyworld with somebody else...this would be if there is actually a giant bust going on based on somebody's inside info. Capeche? If that is the case, it would explain certain somebody's demeanor throughout this. MOO

BTW, John Deere is the largest employer in Waterloo, according to Wikipedia. I don't want to get into sleuthing anyone, I'm just saying that if LE were to be interested in someone working for John Deere, it could be any of hundreds of people.

I'll look for a link, but I believe it's been established exactly which video LE subpoenaed. It's one with Misty and Grandma (Grandma is standing next to Misty but says nothing) taped on July 20th. Tammy is not in the video, unless that is part of the "raw footage" LE was seeking.

If an officer moved a bike, there really isn't any reason not to admit it. It's a bike, so any evidence on the bike is more important than where the bike was lying. An officer that moves a bike would photograph and diagram where it was when found, but wiping prints from a bike while surrounded by officers ... that doesn't sound likely. Police have said that the bikes were leaning against the fence, so it makes sense to accept that this is how they were found. There's no reason for police to misinform the public about that.

Actually, Chief Deputy Abben said the bikes were leaning against the fence when he got there. I have never seen or heard it stated that they were leaning against the fence when first seen at 3:58. It's also possible the bikes were put against the fence by someone passing by after they were seen by the swerving biker and before 3:58, someone who moved them there so they would not be in the way on the path. That person may not come forward because they do not want to 'get involved' or face the scrutiny and publicity that others who have come forward have gone through. MOO JMO :moo:

I'm glad you found the info re: maiden name. I've always heard her referred to as Tammy Brousseau (or Aunt Tammy). In light of recent rumors, which I will not repeat here, the maiden name is interesting IMO

I agree with you that the bikes might have been moved from the trail by someone other than LE. They were found by a volunteer firefighter, who might have moved them out of the way, but I doubt that.

I wonder if TG (the biker who swerved to avoid the bikes) was shown the two bikes later found by the volunteer firefighter, to see if they were the same two he'd seen earlier that day.

I don't think the girls necessarily made it to the park. Unfortunately I can see just how quickly and easily it could've been done. The abduction was definitely done by more than one person, possibly three IMO.

I believe the girls were abducted somewhere between the camera and the lake. I believe they were called over by someone they knew and trusted, who said, leave the bikes with x and y, they'll take them home for you, quick, we have to go, hop in the car.

I believe x and y, who may well have been underaged accomplices, then biked off to the pre-arranged fake "abduction" spot that had been mapped out much earlier, dumped the bikes and bag as planned, and walked away.

Meanwhile the girls were being driven out of town, thinking they were being rushed off to visit a sick relative/go to a surprise party/whatever.

I think this is very probable but it must have occurred close to the lake because I believe Mr. Carpenter's account of seeing them between 12 - 3. He knew the girls. He had seen them on a regular basis, called it "common" to see them on his road. I just don't understand why he can't tighten the time-line from when he saw them. My only guess is that LE is purposely widening the time-line. Seems like Mr. Carpenter would know if he had seen them closer to 12 or closer to 3 or in the middle. But, maybe not. Either way, I think the girls were on Lake Avenue sometime between 12:30 - 2:30.
