It's on that legal document about the Dental Board.

Thanks, I read that but the names just didn't register.

The part about Aunt Tammy's pants still makes me laugh.:what:

Me too, it's just comical that any adult would think of doing that.

While I do find Misty's demeanor a bit odd, I think there are several reasons for it.

One is shock...in the initial days, its hard to believe what is happening and it doesn't even seem real.

Another is detachment....Misty has been in jail and her mom has been Lyric's primary caretaker. Unfortunately, after a while, detachment from your child becomes more likely. And sometimes you detach because its painful if you don't. I think this is part of why Misty seems a bit removed.

Another reason at this point is exhaustion. Your daughter is gone, your life is turned upside down, your family's entire closet has been spilled out for the world. I think that would wear on you a bit. Surprisingly, exhaustion can make you act in unusual ways. It can make you seem removed or uncaring.

Misty is very well-spoken and seems like a very nice person. But it sounds to me like she is in a tough spot. Surrounded by drugs and a slew of somewhat unsavory people, she has taken a poor path. I am not saying she doesn't bear some responsibility for the lifestyle. Obviously, she does. But I have found that people who end up with abusers, time after time, often feel unworthy. And when you find someone who feels unworthy, you almost always find substance abuse. Whatever the case, I wish these girls will be found safe and sound...and that the whole family could find some help along the way.

And it's not just the pants, it's the fact that she was driving on a wheel rim with pants hanging out the window on the way to the prison with allegedly stolen dental medications in her car. :floorlaugh:

Around 2:00 Misty is crying. I don't want to judge but 2 weeks later and she is doing what we all thought she should have been doing from day one. Maybe this was her breaking point?????

http://www.kcrg.com/news/local/Community-Shows-Support-for-Missing-Girls-Family-164094626.html

Or maybe she has been reading what everyone under the sun has been saying about her on FB and thought, "I guess I better go show some emotion to make these freakin' people happy!"

Notice that her face is buried in her hands so we can't see if she is really crying. It's possible that she is. But until I see actual tears, I can't say for sure.

Which proves again that 'fact is stranger than fiction'.

No news.....missing 2 weeks and case is already going cold.......heartbreaking.

What are the chances he is still seeing MCM? I mean, it's been publized to the world that she was in the hotel with her estranged hubby. Unless he was too? :what: Anyone remember the date of his arrest?

He's not. Interestingly, she broke up with him.

I'll look for a link, but I believe it's been established exactly which video LE subpoenaed. It's one with Misty and Grandma (Grandma is standing next to Misty but says nothing) taped on July 20th. Tammy is not in the video, unless that is part of the "raw footage" LE was seeking.

ETA: here's one link: http://www.omaha.com/article/20120727/NEWS/707279937/1016

All i know is MCM was WITH GMA and TAmmy but like you said Tammy might have only been in the raw footage IDK.

I think it is too soon to say whether the case has gone cold or not.

In the Sierra LaMar case, it seemed like her case had gone cold almost right away. But LE actually had a suspect, his car, etc.

Now he's in jail awaiting trial.

:goodpost:

I also think that Misty likes the positive attention she is getting. She has probably been looked on negatively in her life because of the choices she made, her arrests, etc. To have everyone now looking at her as a victim must be a nice change. People are treating her kindly, lots of positive support. Add that to the detachment you mentioned, and I think some of her behavior is understandable.

I'm not trying to be critical of Misty, I'm just thinking how rare it probably is for her to be the object of sympathy and support. That might explain some of her behavior IMO.

Got thinking about the videos that LE are asking for. They say they want videos of Gma and /or Misty. So to me it sounds like it doesn't matter if they are together or not in the videos. Therefore the video of Misty , Tammy and Gma would be one they are requesting too, wouldn't it? With TB tapping Misty, makes me wonder if that video is one that got LE wanting all the raw footage. However LE are only asking for certain dates. I am so confused.

That interview happened last Sunday, on the 22nd. And was on Fox news, not KWWL.

I spent some time going back and watching YouTube videos of the early interviews last night though and saw some interesting things I didn't notice at first. (Like a green paddle boat in the background while DM and MCM are being interviewed!) It is also interesting to watch everyone's demeanor again in the immediate aftermath of the abduction.

Can someone local tell me where I can purchase tshirts and bracelets to help find the girls? I live an hour away so I would like to send a check or money order.

I think you might be on to something. Would this possibly account for the 2:30 sighting also, which according to Aunt T was of two girls on bikes?

I dought that very much, because the lake is small and they would be seen next to the lake, really no shore.

I have a few questions and thoughts.

"Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Rick Abben said Tuesday that everyone is a suspect until the girls are found."

http://www.kcci.com/news/central-iowa/Behind-the-scenes-of-missing-person-s-cases/-/9357080/15597078/-/7qr6s8/-/index.html

"Morrissey was ordered to have no-contact with his wife, but that order was modified last week to allow the two to appear together "in connection with the ongoing investigation concerning their daughter" while police are also present."

"The day before both girls vanished, court records show Morrissey appeared in court for a hearing in which he was scheduled to change his pleas in all four cases, suggesting a deal covering all of them had been reached with prosecutors. But he decided not to plead guilty, records show, and the cases were scheduled for trial. The five most serious charges carry possible sentences of 45 years in prison apiece.

Schoeberl said he knows why Morrissey did not plead guilty July 12 but declined to discuss it. Prosecutor Brad Walz has declined to comment on plea negotiations." BBM

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/27/dan-morrisey-missing-iowa-cousins-trial_n_1710117.html

"During the interview, Morrissey told reporter John Wilmer that she and her estranged husband sought legal advice after lengthy interrogations in which they were accused of having involvement in the disappearance of the girls. With her mother, Cook, standing next to her, Morrissey called it a “pretty intense coercion” and said the scrutiny probably was the result of her criminal record.

They don't have anything else. We've been to a briefing last night. There's no other information, no new leads, no evidence, there's nothing,” she said. “After seven days, I realize it's probably very frustrating for them that they probably haven't been able to come up with something. It's frustrating for us as well.”

Ferguson said investigators sought the footage at a time when Misty Morrissey had stopped cooperating with them. Monday, she resumed talking to investigators and took a second polygraph test."

Regarding the plea bargain, there are 2 co-defendants right? One was a "no show", he's now showing up in arrest records. :jail:
We don't know who the second co-defendant is (?) we can only guess it might be someone brought in a week or more ago-now that record is gone.

If DM had a no contact order which was modified that they must be in police presence, (see above) what were they doing in Hotel? Perhaps that's why LE questioned them so hard that night.(?)

Shortly after, MC gets an attorney, is told to hush. She appears with her mom for interview regardless of lawyer advice. This is the same video subpoenaed by LE.

Hope I got that all straight, but these are a few things that stand out to me.
Also many are questioning the witness that spotted the bikes. LE may have their reasons to keep this quiet. If I was a witness that saw something, I wouldn't want my name all over the place.

Interesting that's Tammy's maiden name, Bertch.

Yes, that is how MC met JW. Via online records (Spokeo), JW and Tammy share an address in Waterloo -- I believe that he was a tenant or roommate of hers at some point. This is in the Greenbrier subdivision where Lyric went missing the first time. And he works for her family business (Dad? husband? ex husband?), and also works at John Deere. IMO, from research I probably wasn't allowed to do or share. So Mooooo!

This makes total sense and has brought me back to "she is a mom of a missing child, no right to judge". Thank you.

Hate the thought of Elizabeth and Lyric being in the same condition as Sierra most likely is. Last I heard they hadn't found her body........
