Just caught up and have to log off. Round and round and round we go.

Does anyone know if the dogs were ever used anywhere other than in the area where the bikes were found? Does anyone know if LE themselves verified that the dogs hit on the girls' scents at the water? I thought they had and that explained why they were so focused on the lake the first days. Now I read here that that is not even confirmed info.

Were the dogs used on the other side of the wooded area? Have the dogs been to the little building that is in the wooded area?

I think the girls were abducted at the end of Lake Avenue, possibly right off of S. Evans where the wooded area starts. UNLESS it is confirmed that the girls' scents were detected by the dogs at the edge of the lake this is what makes sense to me. That provides physical coverage for the perp(s) to wait for them and hide them, access to the trail to dump the bikes and toss the purse, and a place for a car to pull over. Anyone could have been the perp(s).

I would think this whether or NOT there was a vacant home a spit away.

But, so what? Where are they NOW???

Can someone local tell me where I can purchase tshirts and bracelets to help find the girls? I live an hour away so I would like to send a check or money order.

I don't have any info about that, but you might look at one of the FB pages set up by family/friends of Lyric and Elizabeth.

"“They’ve had several people who think someone was (paddle-boating on the lake), but they’re still looking for someone who was said to be out there,” Breault said."

My bold

I wonder who?

Said to be...jumps out

MOO

There was also a statement from LE that was worded strangely, about people coming forward, who reported that their paddle boat was borrowed without their knowledge, or something along those lines. Anyone know where that was stated?

The person in the paddleboat that is the abducter. Always just my opinion.

I don't think the girls ever got into the paddle boat, but I think they may have been lured into a yard or a home by someone promising them a ride.

Not sure...but I remember somebody said that..not sure if it was LE though..as I recall, it was somebody who was away and came back to find their paddleboat had been used. The empty for sale house that Ollipop has referred to may have a paddleboat..and the tip may have come from the owners of that house, who may be connected to one of the non-mentionable characters. My thought is that LE is trying to "place" someone at the scene and have been told "said to have" that this someone was there. MOO

I believe this was unsubstantiated FB rumor, I've never seen it reported in MSM.

Remember at first someone said they saw two men and a boy fishing nearby on the 13th? Then is was forgotten rather quickly.

A fisherman as a perp is another possibility. My kids always wanted to stop and see the fish a fisherman caught when we are hiking by.

The girls might have been talking to a fisherman on the shore, and he quietly offers them some fishing poles if they want to fish.

" Sure girls, just leave your bikes right here, we can walk up to the house and get you both some poles and some bait..."

There is a small shed or boat house behind that house right on the lake.

I think the most likely scenario is that the girls left their bikes and were lured by foot into
a small shed or a boat house, with the promise of fishing poles or a paddle boat, and then they were taken into a van and whisked away, all before 12:45.

My thinking at this point is that LE is trying to place someone at the lake and has been told that the person was known to be paddleboating or have access to a paddleboat for some reason during the time in question and whose time is otherwise unaccounted for. MOO

I wonder is you can get DNA or fingerprints off a paddle boat? Or if FBI or LE did.

I'd read this article before but WC's use of past tense grabbed me on a reread.

http://washingtonexaminer.com/judge...her-of-missing-iowa-girl/article/feed/2016565

Morrissey's court appearance Friday came hours after one of the girls' uncles, Jeremiah Cook of Waterloo, was hospitalized following an apparent overdose. Cook, 32, had been very close to the girls and was having trouble eating and sleeping since they disappeared, his mother, Wylma Cook, said.

"It all took a toll on him," Wylma Cook said. "My grandchildren were his prize possessions. He loved the children, and he's a very soft-hearted person."

I have been looking and looking and cannot find the video I saw last night that shows the paddleboat in the background!

It is an Anderson Cooper interview with both Misty and Dan. I think. It could have also been a local news interview with them. But it is definitely both of them and Dan is wearing an orange shirt. In the background, there is a green paddle boat.

Can anyone else find it?

Or they could have been held against their will in the boat house for awhile.

Not the first time "past tense" has been used by the family...maybe that's just the way they speak or something. Good catch. MOO

Can someone please point me to the "missing" flyer for the girls that has the most recent photos? NASCAR is racing at the Iowa Speedway next weekend; would be great if they had flyers to hand out to everyone who arrives at the speedway! TIA
