Daniel Morrissey on the stresses of having a missing daughter and niece -

"I'll tell you something about emotions. A lot of people base their decisions off emotions and it doesn't work out too well. They're angry, they make a bad decision, whatever," he said. "So emotions I try to keep control of and keep my head straight. During this time, it's definitely challenging, but I have to keep my mind right."

Why would that be?

Anyone would be forgiven for not having their "mind right" when their daughter is missing. :dunno:

What "decisions" does he have to make?

Another great catch SS.
More to make me scratch my head and ponder. :moo:

The wording of LE is weird, again. They have reports of people who "think" they saw someone in a paddle boat? Is that what it said, can't find the quote now. How does one think they saw something? Unless they are unsure of the date.

Have there been any walking thru areas searches for the girls? Other than the lake and their homes.

With LE wanting raw footage and other things. Do you think LE is getting evidence ready to make an arrest without the (sorry to put it this way) the girls bodies?

It's hard to tell what LE was looking for, IMO, but it seems to me that someone who saw the raw footage later realized he/she might have seen or heard something important. The subpoena says that LE believes something on that video might relate to a criminal act that took place on July 13.

I hope that means LE is preparing for an arrest, but who knows.

When you consider both parents extensive criminal records, I would consider Lyric to be in a negative and harmful environment.

Misty had just got out of rehab and had spent 4 years in a federal penitentiary on earlier drug charges.

Her father is heading to prison on drug and domestic violence charges, against her mother.

Neither held a job in recent memory, until Misty started at the Casey's a few weeks ago. Lyric lived with relatives for most of her life.

Absolutely and IMHOO NOT to be ignored because....simply put.... it's true.:moo:
Thanks again SS.

Do you mean recently? I'm not certain any wide-scale searches have taken place recently, but there may be smaller searches going on that haven't been reported in MSM.

Here are links to articles about the searches for the girls shortly after they went missing:

I have wondered if there is a person (or persons) who have told LE that there was someone on the lake in a paddle boat that day who can confirm whatever it is that this person (or persons) is telling LE. LE may be asking for anyone on a paddle boat to come forward so that the paddle boater/s can confirm what this person is saying to be factual or to see if no one comes forward which could mean a)the paddle boater/s chose not to come forward, or b)there never was a paddle boater.

I think this is very probable but it must have occurred close to the lake because I believe Mr. Carpenter's account of seeing them between 12 - 3. He knew the girls. He had seen them on a regular basis, called it "common" to see them on his road. I just don't understand why he can't tighten the time-line from when he saw them. My only guess is that LE is purposely widening the time-line. Seems like Mr. Carpenter would know if he had seen them closer to 12 or closer to 3 or in the middle. But, maybe not. Either way, I think the girls were on Lake Avenue sometime between 12:30 - 2:30.

I think the girls were frequently riding their bikes near Mr. Carpenter's home because a male relative, who considers them to be his prize possessions, lives very close to Mr. Carpenter.

Yes that's what I mean wide scale searches. I find it unusual that there haven't been any searches since July 16th. With most other missing cases we've seen searches go on for weeks. Why not in this case?

If somebody and sombody are working with somebody else...somebody else might have been the "attorney" that advised the two somebodys not to cooperate with local LE, because somebody else might be in control of this whole thing.

In that theoretical case, the other somebodies may be vacationing for now at Disneyworld with somebody else...this would be if there is actually a giant bust going on based on somebody's inside info. Capeche? If that is the case, it would explain certain somebody's demeanor throughout this. MOO

I believe a LE officer 'could' be one of the somebodies.
If your scenario is right, I hope an arrest is soon. :moo:

All I can think of is that since the FBI seems to think the girls are alive, so there isn't as much effort put into looking for them?:waitasec:

But if they were my kids, I'd yell and scream and organize searches until they were found. JMO

At first I thought it was a possible witness. But he has not come forward yet, so that is hinky.

And then that FB rumor that a resident said their paddle boat was used w/out permission.

Those things make me think it was someone who used the promise of a ride on the boat as a lure to get the girls into a vulnerable position.

or just hearsay or red herring.

Probally had them done before abduction. The thumb nail is broken off the acrylic.

Im not concerned about her nails.I'm concerned about the usage of past tense verbiage. :moo:

BBM me too! When my oldest daughter ran away to visit a bf I hunted her down. Tracked her through her friends and drove 8 hours to get her. Poor kid I grounded her from life for 6 months. Not kidding I locked her car in the garage, had the school call me if she left school. It wasn't fun but we laugh about it now. It was about 5 years ago and she's all grown up and newly married...obliviously not to that bf lol.

Her words were especially alarming, God's plan and all. Like there was no more plan. And that was VERY early on.

Here's what has me really worried....the overdoses..and the location of the girls...the unemotional mother sobbing at the lake...the past-tense language
