Yes. But you don't need to go to that article, my post should be clear enough by itself.

But that pic of the guy from CL does not look like it matches that guy - when I look at this pic on FB.

ETA: Also the article would put him at around 30 yrs old and the CL guy says he is 33.

Agreed...different guy.

That doesn't mean, tho, that the guy who posted those ads on Craiglist, both for sex with women at Deerwood and to sell a puppy - all of which seem to have since been deleted but still show in a Google search of "319 four eight six 7815", is any less creepy. Just because he's not the RSO who was booked for not registering does not make him less creepy to me.

Can someone confirm that Anonymous has also keyed on his number, with respect to their pedo-site hunt?

Yes. And the fact that he creeped us out AND pinged anonymous's radar? Superhinky.

Knows bikes trails? Knows Waterloo? Check that river going south.

If you're referring to the Cedar River, LE was searching it. This year, the river is low (drought), so I don't think a body would go unnoticed.

Any news about the girls?

A bull mastiff?! Um, NOT a good dog to have around kids! That is the dog breed that attacked that poor woman in San Francisco who was returning to her apartment carrying a bag of groceries. The dog burst through the door of the neighboring apartment, ripped her throat out, and killed her.

I believe the dog in San Francisco was a Cane Corso or a Presa Canario, not a bullmastiff. Any breed dog would be fine with children if properly supervised, properly trained, and properly socialized. However, Bullmastiffs are not notoriously dangerous as say, pit bulls or cane corsos.

Eta: also, there was no breaking down a door, it happened in the hallway. And the dog was seriously trained to be A killer.

Which might explain why the girls were riding WEST, instead of east, which would have led them to the more direct route to the lake.

It wouldn't be possible with the timeline. Would it?

Any news about the girls?

Last bit of new news that I've read between the last thread and this one was the uncle's OD. Everything since then has been hashing ideas and other stuff, IMHO.

wish there was news, anything really. :(

I'm just saying that a reverse phone lookup on the number on the CL adds returns as a mobile phone registered to someone in Waterloo with the same name as someone in that news article I mentioned. Also, a quick search does not reveal anyone else with that name in Waterloo, IA.

Cook said she is "praying so hard" for the girls' safety while picking over the details of the day she last saw them, when they left for a bike ride at 11:30 a.m.

But she said they almost always stayed within blocks and had never gone to Meyers Lake, a mile away.

"It shocks me, OK. The girls never rode that far, never. It was in a two-block area, that's it. They always returned like I told them," Cook said.

Hi all, Im back from Evansdale and took my bike along to ride the trail around the lake. OMG, the place where they found the bikes is so spooky, I was all alone at that part and it was so constricted with a chain fence on both sides (just at that part) and trees and bushes, very very secluded for awhile there. I really got the chills and didn't stick around that part long. I found the address for the house for sale , but don't know if Im allowed to say it here? Also the green large paddle boat was two houses to the west of that house.

All dogs are dangerous if they are not properly trained and socialized. I've met some pretty scary chihuahuas! In fact, I've been growled and snapped at by more little dogs than big dogs.

I'm having a problem wrapping my head around all the "advertisement/craig's list" type theories ... I'm still so stuck on this not being a random crime of opportunity. My gut just says it would be too hard to get to that trail and out without fear of being caught. I suppose, also, that maybe if they are taken by someone they knew and trusted, chances are they are OK (well as OK as one can be after an abduction ...).

I'm not sure if anyone wants to humor me on this, but I have had an odd feeling when I look at Hanson lake on the map for some time now.

Can anyone tell me anything about that lake, or about the way one might go about getting girls from where the bikes were found TO that lake?

I have absolutely no reason for this line of thought other than my gut, but since there's nothing new going on I may as well throw it out there right now.

Seems pretty significant that they removed a dock.

Sun that was early on back when the girls first went missing.
At least 2 floating docks / pier type things were missing. :moo:

Wonder if he's still at the campground.

Also saw Lyrics dad in his yard playing with one of his kids. He waved, I felt his pain.

Does halfway down the area with the double fence seem like a good place to abduct two children, or would it be better at either end of the double fenced area?

Here is an image of the the reference to twitter tag #OpPedoChat that also references the CL phone number, posted by a self-described Anon "member". I dont know how to link to a tweet directly.

I am following them so will see if they respond to a PM. From a few days after the disappearances, I wonder if they were investigating.

Just got approved, have browsed this site numerous times over the years, this is the first one I've had anything to contribute to.

Wonder if he's still at the campground.

One of his ads said he was losing his house or something. Maybe he lives at the campground. Maybe he is the campground host. :what: I dunno.
