He has a business, so I doubt it. But we don't know. I will give you my opinion though -- have you seen him? He does not look like someone that bikes at least 12 miles a day.

(I know - everyone got mad last time someone said that. But it is TRUE! The man may end up being the hero here, but he is not fit!)

I try really hard to give people the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he just consumes an alarming number of calories in order to bike away that many calories and not be in shape.

I think what really stood out about him was that he rode his bike there the next day and talked to LE and they sent him to file a report. Why didn't he call it in on Friday when the girls were reported missing? I also wonder because he said "little girls bikes" when Lyric was riding a mountain bike.

I am frustrated because it seems like there are so many theories that could work.

I don't recall anything about him saying something about Orlando, but someone did say they saw FB pics he posted from a trip to Disneyworld. Hmmm ...

NVgirl? I have a question for you ... you said you looked at CL for the days following the abduction ... how far out of the area do you usually look at when you do this research? Just curious, because I was thinking if someone had something with potential evidence they were trying to get rid of like a car, wouldn't they want to make themselves as far removed as possible? I'm wondering if, if this were the case, the person might be familiar with the area (visited family, grew up there or works there) but live a considerable distance away (30-40 miles).

I thought he said ' little girls on bikes.' But remember we were hearing it through Aunt Tammy's verbal filter,so it might have been worded differently even.

Where did the meth head guy take them, if he's homeless?

That means you have to add another layer of complication to explain THAT aspect, then also explain why no one saw the tent guy taking the girls, nor why they went with him in the first place? If they did go with them, why did they leave their bikes and throw their purse away?

I believe the most obvious answer is usually the right one.

Someone the knew and trusted intercepted them at that park, they went willingly, the bikes were left.

Stats show that when children are abducted, they rarely last more than a few hours. Given that we are looking at two weeks, I think it's not likely that they will be found alive. I don't think this has anything to do with any meth deal, just like Victoria Stafford's kidnapping had nothing to do with pharmaceutical abuse. The children of drug abusers may be more vulnerable because they may not have the guidance needed to make good choices. I think this was a crime of opportunity with vulnerable children as victims. I think the perp is someone local, someone that knows the area well enough to know how secluded the trail is at that location.

I think police have been cautious with their comments. They did not call this an abduction until the lake had been searched, dragged and then drained. Once it was called an abduction, without evidence that the children are not alive, it is cautious to state that they could still be alive. Statistics and common sense tell us what has most likely happened here ... and it's not about safe houses and meth deals.

Just reading your words brought a picture into my mind that made me feel sick.

I think even adults would find it difficult to impossible to resist and risk seeing a child hurt. I know the statistics say that if you resist, the attacker will probably run.

But actually seeing a child you love with a knife at their throat? That is very, very different from playing the statistics.

I don't think it's victim blaming just like saying a woman who was abused as a child is more likely to marry someone who is an abuser. However, in this case, I think because of her background and upbringing Lyric might be more street smart and self-sufficient.

I do know a really, really lovely pond that is on private property, has trees, is situated between two hills such that it catches any breeze there is. It's quiet, secluded and beautiful.

Going there with my husband and the dogs, making them wait while he fishes and then letting them play in the water? I cannot deny it has crossed my mind.
