When I was the age of these girls, my friends and I all read a lot of mystery books and we liked to pretend we were detectives. Maybe the lake was a good place to spy on people who thought they were all alone. If the girls even knew about the CL ads, maybe they didn't intend to meet the guy, just spy on him.

Me too! I had a club with two other friends and we called ourselves the Pink Panther Clue Club. Lol. :floorlaugh: I think I was about 7 or 8 years old. We would color real dark with pencil on a piece of paper and then press our fingers down in it to make finger prints on paper.

A brisk walking pace is around 120 steps per minute. Ollipop said that the area is 210 steps long.

So, at a brisk walk, it would take less than 2 minutes.

So we have 8 minutes during which 8 and 10 year old girls (weighing 65, 165 lbs respectively) cycle 1.5 miles, dismount, walk 2 minutes along the double fence area and vanish. At the same time, we have Ted cycling past the area and only seeing a bike on the path. That suggests to me that the girls had to make the 1.5 mile trip in 5 minutes. I remember cycling with my daughters when they were that age and I don't remember them ever riding that fast. They were always slow and busy looking at everything that was going on around them.

When I was at the lake today and coming back on the trail a man walked up and past me, he struck me as strange because he had been sitting in his white van smoking and just staring out at the lake. Then he was walking. He was creepy because as I passed him, I said hi and he didn't even try to make eye contact. He didn't walk long and returned to his vehicle and just sat there. For some reason I got his license plate numbers. You know that feeling when someone just doesn't feel right. I heard perps like to revisit their stomping grounds.

Ok. Now this is not a good situation. You have no clue who this guy is, could be undercover LE. I dont think it is safe for you to post here that you are going to be at a certain location that could be an unsolved crime scene and part of an active investgation. Think of your own safety, we don't need to add danger to a situation. Just moo, better safe than anything else.

I have had the worst feeling all day. Just now checking in here. I will go back and try to catch up on the posts (I hate to miss any of them) but the last time I did that it took hours and hours.

Has anything important developed?

I have just had a very bad feeling all day. I can't explain it. I just can't get these precious girls off my mind today. I feel like something is different about today and I am NOT normally a person who gets all caught up in feelings. Someone asked a couple of days ago if anyone has been having dreams about the girls. I have not and I do not place any confidence in psychics at all. Not knocking that if others are interested but I am not interested at all in pursuing info. from psychics. So, please don't think that's what I'm claiming BUT several years ago I had an extremely strange dream that I had forgotten about and OMG it all came back to me today. I can't go in to details because it's just weird and crazy but I just can't shake the memory of this odd dream and I can't shake this feeling that these girls and their families need a massive, massive outpouring of prayer.

That is all... headed back about ten pages or so now!!
I'm sorry to ramble. Just feeling so odd and emotional today.
