This is such a traumatic loss for the community and family members. I heard that the the 16 year old had snap chatted moments before stating they were having difficulties and that she might not survive. I can’t even imagine how hard that would be to process. Hoping it comes to light they were all unconscious with the carbon monoxide poisoning before impact. Will continue to follow.

Plaintiffs seek jury trial for damages in plane crash suit

Lawsuits filed by family members as administrators of the estates of four people killed in a Nov. 9, 2018, plane crash in Guthrie County, demand a jury trial for the 23 counts set forth in the petition, which alleges maintenance error.

According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), which investigated the accident, “examination of the wreckage at the accident site revealed a 2-inch-long crack in the engines aft exhaust muffler. The inner surface of the muffler heat shroud was coated in sooty tan and grey colored deposits. Similar deposits were also present on the inner surface of the cabin heat hose that ducted air from the shroud to the cabin heat distributer box assembly.”

Plaintiffs in the lawsuits are, Tonia Kellen, administrator of the estate of Patrick J. Kellen; Del Kellen, administrator of the estate of Tyler L. Douvia; Tonia Kellen and David Clark, co-administrators of the estate of Samantha Marie Clark; and James E. Anderson, administrator of the estate of Edward R. Anderson.

The plaintiffs seek judgement from the defendants for damages as follows:

In an amount which will fully and fairly compensate in damages for the wrongful death of Patrick J. Kellen, Samantha Marie Clark, Tyler L. Douvia and Edward R. Anderson;

For punitive damages in such sums as well as serve to punish and deter the named defendants from future wrongdoing;

For plaintiffs’ costs herein expended and;

For such other and further relief as this Court deems just and proper.

All plaintiffs demand a trial by jury.
